My friends and I recently played at Riverdale golf course and were reasonably impressed. It is part of the MBK Golf group which also owns Red Mountain and Loch Palm in Phuket. While I think Red Mountain is better I would still recommend this course. The caddies were very good and layout and facilities are what you would expect from MBK.

Excellent experience, helpful guide. We enjoyed this as part of a tour of other local sites. Great to see how the locals live day to day and sell their produce. The boats are an experience on their own and the shopping was good. Would have liked more time.

Totally of the track even though you are so very close to Bangkok. This temple complex is magnificent and extremely quiet during daytime on working days (but assume more more Thai's in weekends and not least on religious days. I liked the tranquility but on a workday but if you want to see thousands of worshipers, go on a religious day. One of the most beautiful temples near Bangkok - and so far kept to the locals - probably deliberately. So please treat this place and the people there with respect

Why I choose this title? Because, I just read (with all due respect) the review allegedly written in 2014 by a Doctor from Japan. The reviewer begins by admitting to not even have personally visited the facility, but apparently formed his/her negative opinion and decision to not attend based on some other "information". I am so thankful that I did not let that review influence my decision to attend. If you haven't already read it, I suggest Reading "The Art of Clear Thinking". Sorry, but can not remember authors' name but Im guessing Dr. Ari Flescher... Amazon.
Back to The Middle Way and POP House. Without a doubt, one of top 5 best experiences Ive had during this lifetime, and as a globe trekker, that is saying a lot! From the moment you arrive at this pristine and serene oasis surrounded by nature and the most peaceful and friendly people you will ever been fortunate to have met, you will know you are in the right place.
I could write volumes about how amazing and truly wonderful this place is and the knowledge you will take with you, but I won't (I want to begin my morning meditation now). I will close with another observation. As I shared with my wonderful room mate and new friend, as a traveler I NEVER EVER leave my passport and wallet not secured. They are always either on my person OR locked in a safe. No exceptions. Until this retreat. Your room will have a lock on the door knob, but you will not need or want to use it. While there , I never for even a split second, gave a passing thought to my personal belongings.
Please, if you have any questions whatsoever about The Middle Way or POP House, please do not hesitate to contact me. I wish you peace.

not for those looking for a swank course with plush facilities. nevertheless a bargain for golfers on a budget, green fees and caddy fees not exceeding 1300 baht on weekends! very interesting layout though and some par threes a bit challenging, mostly patronised by local thais, but for visiting golfers can be put down to experiencing how the other half of the golfing fraternity enjoy this great game. was my 4th visit to this course and no regrets this time too! a sister par 70 muang ake vista is close by as well.
