Eversince the church became a minor basilica in 2015, it has received special privileges one of which is the opportunity for pilgrims to obtain plenary indulgence. Read about it when you get to the church. My advise is to arrive early so there are no lines yet to the mantle of Our Lady of Manaoag.

Visited: 03.16.2012(but not in the option) via commuter bus. Whenever we go on an out of town trips we make sure we visit a church first before enjoying our tour for a safer and more relaxed feeling. It's part of our family's legacy. So whenever I look for a place to explore anew, I make sure to look out for the nearest church or parish on our desired tourist spot to visit. In Bolinao, Pangasinan there is one famous and one of the oldest churches in the Philippines that was built 408 years ago. The St. James The Great Parish located in Don Alonzo Ponce, Bolinao, Pangasinan. St. James The Great Parish, 1609 The church was located almost in front of Bolinao's Townhall and near the marketplace. It's just sad that we weren't able to attend the mass the time we're in Bolinao as it was an early afternoon when we get there, so no mass for us. So we just pray for a while and ask for safety for our travel. The rustic look of this church is so inviting and makes me love our countries colorful history even better. It just feels so amazing that the people from 400 years ago were able to build a structure as sturdy as this one. #WowPhilippines A golden aged legacy it is.

I've been in Patar Beach, Bolinao Pangasinan many times and the landscape view is so fulfilling, the sand was so pure alike in Boracay Island, to one's liking the sea breeze at night, the waves and the peace that i've felt while i'm there is immeasurable. So if you have the chance to visit Pangasinan, Patar Beach is highly recommended.

I can't say anything special about the place. It's one of the many beaches in the area, up there, NW Luzon. Good for family gatherings, bike tours etc. Walking around and collecting shells and corals - really good place to chill. Do not expect too much if you like to swim - scenery is very beautiful but water up there is usually very shallow until you hit the coral reefs, that one can not pass bare footed anyway :)

Visited: 03.16.2012(but not in the option) Our first stop on our first visit to Bolinao, Pangasinan is the famous lighthouse, Cape Bolinao Lighthouse. CAPE Bolinao Lighthouse Fact: This was the 2nd tallest LIGHTHOUSE in the Philippines built in 1905 by the unity of Filipino, American and British engineers. It was 351 feet above sea level. The lighthouse provides a panoramic view of the South China Sea. To get there, Manong tricycle driver who brought us to Bing's Beach Resort on our first night in Bolinao offered to tour us on Patar the next day for just 350 pesos. Our 350 pesos already toured us in all the famous tourist spots in Bolinao. I will elaborate on my Itinerary post for Bolinao Pangasinan. It took us about 10-15 mins to get to our first destination. We were amazed that the roads going to our destination, from a faraway province like Bolinao would actually look better than some roads in Manila. Paved roads in the middle of farms, grassland, trees, thumbs up for Bolinao's local government ????. So why is CAPE Bolinao Lighthouse popular to the guests of Bolinao? Well as per experience, it is the breathtaking views you'll fall in love with. It is like love at first sight. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? We have the whole ocean for us ❤ There is also an old and unused headquarters where you can take a rest and enjoy the warm wind kissing your skin. ???? This is one historic site you should see when you visit Bolinao as this is a century-old built. And wouldn't it be nice to know and see a structure older than your grannies? More about Bolinao, Pangasinan on my next blogs. So you better check it out. An Itinerary is coming up.

Bolo Beach 1 and 2 is quiet and peaceful beach community in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. We areived 4am from Cubao Manila then trike drivers greeted us and asked them if they can bring us to the most quiet resort and they brought us to Monica Vacation House in Bolo 1 and since it was weekend its fully cooked so get ourselves a tent for 2 and slept. What we love about this place especially in Monica Vacation Resort is that, you have a great view of both sunrise and sunset. Another thing is that there are also bangkas wherein you can get to Hundred Islands Tour for affordable price. The area has clean water, rooms are affordable from p500 tent p1000 room and you can cook your food there and there are stores you can buy what you need and seafoods sellers. Shallow friendly water but do not expect white beach and powdery sand. You can trek, swim, hike and go island.

Whether you have something to splurge or on a tight budget, this is a place where you can spend your weekend. You can stay in cottages along the beach or in hotels near the beach. You can eat on some turo-turo along the beach or on restaurants nearby. Tondaligan Beach is Family friendly, affordable, and like anywhere you go its what you make of it that really matters. The openness of the place, the sea breeze, and fresh air will make for some good memories. The beach is safe, waves can get high that makes a beach enjoyable, lately the local government has provided life guards. The locals are there to help and please their customers.
