What to do and see in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands: The Best Things to do Good for Big Groups

January 19, 2022 Leida Jutras

Palma, the economic and cultural hub of Majorca, is a delightful base for exploring the island's many gold and white beaches. A former Moorish casbah, or walled city, Palma's Old Town is an appealing maze of narrow streets that are a delight to explore on foot. Hop on the Soller Railway for a 17-mile scenic trip, visit 14th-century Bellver Castle and the museum of contemporary art, and check out the nightlife.

Both Captain Adriaan and Cook Sandra have over more than 30 years of sailing experience, as well in Europe as the Caribbean. Taxi Tour Mallorca

Upon arrival to Son Sant Joan International Airport at the island of Majorca, the visitor might feel uneasy due to the general lack of English support and messy arrangement of a building originally opened to the public in the midst of the past century, and subject to successive expansions which resulted in a, arguably, mazy layout. Besides the frequent signs offering directions to branching bus pick-up locations, it is highly encouraged, specially for the novel traveler, to avoid public transport (which requires knowledge of the Spanish language and being familiar with locations in order to request stops), and heading to the main entrance were Taxi Majorca cars are stationed. Taxi Majorca is an official private transport service operating for years in the island, allowing for easy Majorca airport transfers for foreigners, independently of it being from the airport to the nearby city of Palma de Mallorca, neigbouring towns or holiday resorts; or viceversa. Our customers enjoy new cars, adequately conditioned to maximize passenger comfort, a professional driver, and a clean and fast service, extremely time efficient. Stop wasting time in your transfer PMI airport using scheduled buses with low availability and low accessibility to the visitors, and allow us to excel at what we do becoming a client of us. Our company does not only supply quick Majorca airport transfers, since our company was created customers can request a taxi tour around the city. Enjoying the urban sights from the comfort of our car seats is one of the best to catch a quick glimpse of the area. This choice is great for planning purposes and for those visitors who have limited time in the city. You can suggest your own route or ask our drivers for a preset taxi tour which will get you to the main points: Palma de Mallorca cathedral, Bellver castle, the coastal walkway, the old town, the Real Palace of Almudena, the old market place of gothic architecture known as Sa Llotja, the town hall, and much more. We are certain that you will enjoy the ride. Please, note that you can call your taxi from your hotel in order to get a transfer PMI airport at the end of your stay in the island. We used taxi tour Mallorca for three different transfers while visiting the island and everything worked perfectly well: the driver was always on time, very friendly and helpful, the car seat for our 14month old daughter was always installed and ready and we felt safe while being driven. We would definitely use them again and therefore, highly recommend them!

I visited the Majorca Gin Distillery in April with a group of 5 ladies and what can I say - we had a blast! Ross entertained us for the duration of the visit, sharing fun and interesting facts about the history and origins of gin, providing us with a range of tasters and helping us to make our own delicious cocktails, tailored to our own tastes. I would highly recommend this experience even if you’re not a gin lover as all tastes are catered for! Thanks Ross for an amazing afternoon!

Jewish Majorca

Jewish Majorca was created to help preserve the Jewish heritage of the Balearic Islands by sharing with visitors and residents the many different sites connected to its Jewish past. By offering a walk and talk with members of the local active Jewish community today – visitors get to see the past, present, and hopefully the future from another point of view. We strive to bring together members of the current local community from their many different backgrounds. Tours are offered in English, Spanish, Catalan and Hebrew.
