My husband, myself and our 10 year old enjoyed the best paddle board expedition ever! Marissa was so informative, friendly and helpful throughout our Eco tour, she really put us at ease. Unfortunately we only took an hour tour but next time we will definitely do a 2 hour tour. Marissa showed us so much wildlife (rays, crabs, osprey, pelicans, puffer fish, horseshoe crabs, sea turtle...)If we missed something, she would help us circle around to see it. Marissa also took several pictures of our family for us and gave us tips on how to paddle board more efficiently since we are just beginners. A must do for anyone in the area!!!

This is a great sea turtle rescue and conservation organization. They have a turtle hospital, viewing tanks, interactive exhibit hall, gift store and more. Public educational programs for guests of all ages are offered daily. During sea turtle nesting season (June & July), you can take a guided walk to watch the nesting turtles up close.

I had mixed feelings visiting the turtles. These are magnificent creatures That you can get close to and see their size. Sadness that our wildlife is hurt By us humans. Propeller injuries, fishing line tangled around limbs, fishing Hooks stuck in flesh leaving these creatures...MoreThank you so much for the support!

Boat was large and well stocked. Dive guides were knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and even entertaining. Captain was approachable, personable and friendly.

Firstly, let me say that it is the responsibility of each diver to check their gear, even rental gear, thoroughly. And, it is the dive buddy's responsibility (especially when s/he has much more experience) to double check that the diver has checked. But, I would ask you, even though we did a general check, how many of you check that the dumb valve on the rear of the BC is functioning when you rent gear? So, I beleive the dive shop shares responsibility and in the hurried pick-up and get to the dive boat, one trusts that some thorough checks are made prior to renting gear. Unfortunately that was not our experience and it led to a potentially (although in our case, not) catastrophic in-water incident. Apart from that, the shop owner's offer (after I called and complained) of a $15 refund on a $361 trip cost seems to reinforce that Pura Vida doesn't take the issue seriously. I would have expected perhaps something closer to $50 (the cost of the BC rental and two of our 4 tanks), plus perhaps the offer of a free or reduced price trip with them in the future.

What happened? The vent on the rear of the BC was non functional. So, when the less experienced diver who was likely slightly under-weighted becames fins up on the second half of the dive, neither the dive master nor I could vent the air and by the time we righted the diver, we were already at 20 feet, at which point we called the dive.

The park itself is well-described by other reviewers. I highly recommend that you stop by the Visitor Center when you visit. It is small, but includes thorough coverage of the local natural history and exhibits of live fish, snakes and sea turtles. I was especially appreciative of the descriptions of the three species of mangroves ... I tend to forget how to identify them between visits to the area. There was also an interesting art exhibit when we were there - sculptures and paintings of local species and habitats.

Jupiter Dog Beach

Reviewed By Hoof-N-Hen - Cocoa Beach, Florida

This is one of the few places in the area where bringing your dog is actually sanctioned unlike area restaurants where people assume they can bring a mutt into a dining establishment.
It's great seeing the dogs enjoying each others company and frolicking in the surf. The only problem is owners seem to think you love their dogs as much as they do and allow them to run off leash sniffing your picnic lunches and kicking sand up on you while you bathe.
Best go to other beach if you don't like dogs trying to take a bite out of your sandwich.!
