It is said that, the shiva link present here, has come from Kasi by an old lady. The ambience and vibrations of the temple is nice and must be felt, its very peaceful to be here. Nila river, a tributary of Bharathapuzha runs near the temple, a dip in this river at evening will chill will your nerves. Kalpathy Car Festival is a world renowned festival, people from differents parts of the world and country come here to witness this scene. It happens during the month of November, during 13 -17 mostly. Then for the foodies; to calm ur hunger, local & traditional soothing savories and snacks are available near to temple. Do try visiting here once.

The temple timings are similar to Guruvayur temple. The temple opens early in the morning like 4 am or so and the rituals after that are so blissful, you will not like to take your eyes off the deity. The way the poojas and adorning the Lord is conducted, you will not want to leave place but just stay and pray peacefully. This is a place where you get very good peace of mind like Isha Yoga of Coimbatore. This is a place to worship whereas Isha is a place of meditation and calmness. But both these places provide you calmness, peace of mind and positive energy The best time to visit this temple is early morning or late evening.

a must place to go just after the monsoon in bike, solo/with friends, riding through mountains, waterfalls, monkeys bros sitting on either side of the road, mist, lush green forest, tea estates.. the view from top is mindblowing. sight of waterfall is also amazing.ONE HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL bcoz there is NO PROTECTION along the EDGES.
