Why didn't we do this last visit? 5 of us rented the 19 ft boat and headed out to explore the harbor, at our own pace, for the day. It was the best day of our whole vacation. We snorkeled at multiple spots, hung out on peaceful beaches, had a long lunch at the Chat n' Chill and then hit the sandbar at low tide. Returned the boat right at 5pm. The kids and the grown ups all say this was the best thing we did on vacation. Packed our own cooler, and took our own snorkel gear, but they will rent both to you if you need them. So much cheaper than a guided day doing the exact same things. Our boat had shade and boat seats, two large dry boxes. Highly recommend!

We arrived after dark and after normal business hours, called the phone number on the office door and she met us in 5 minutes and quickly completed our rental paper work and away we went. Welcome to Treasure Boat Rentals, located in the harbor in the Treasure Cay Marina in Treasure Cay, Abaco, The Bahamas. We have the nicest boat rental fleet in the Abacos! We rent center console boats ranging from 20 foot to 27 foot. All Boats are equipped with GPS for location, and vhf radios. Many are outfitted with fishfinders, depth sounders and stereos. Your rental price is determined by the boat selected and the number of days of the rental. All boats start off full of fuel and are returned full, so you are paying only for the fuel you used during your time on the water. We highly recommend and can provide knowledgeable local guides who can take you bonefishing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, shelling, island hopping and to all of the local restaurants and bars on the out islands, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the day. You are fully insured against any damage IF you use one of our local guides.

Our intention is writing this review is to offer support and encouragement to the staff of Seaside Carts - we pray they and their families are safe from the devastation HD caused and that they will be able to rebuild their homes, business and community. And also to offer gratitude for providing such great service during our Nov 2018 trip to GTC. The owner of the beachhouse rental we stayed at, Coral Sands, referred us to Seaside Carts, and we can see why, Marilyn was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Email communications before our vacation were replied to promptly and thoroughly, and, as frequently happens on adventures to the Out Islands, something or other goes wrong - which it did for us upon arrival in Nassau, and then continued upon arrival in Marsh Harbour, which caused us to arrive hours later than expected at the GT dock, but there Marilyn was, patiently waiting for us in the dark. We zipped up down and all around lovely Green Turtle, hardly used any gas - the cart we had, Shark Bait, was reliable, well kept and fun to drive. The citizens on GTC are so trustworthy that upon departure it is standard procedure to return your cart, with the keys in it (!!) to where you picked it up at arrival, alongside the road, not a desk/office/person in sight. This is just one of the many qualities GTC possesses that makes it truly a very special place. The world could use a whole lot more of its charm for sure :)
