The Museum at EAA's World Headquarters is a history, aviation buffs must see. And, the gift shop will satisfy your desire for mementos or gifts. The Experimental Aircraft Association is the best organization going for the support of private (General Aviation) pilots, and is not limited to home-built aircraft. The extensive collection of WWII bomber art is, all by itself, worth the visit!

Menominee Park

Peaceful park with paved walking and bike paths on Lake Winnebago. There's a beach, playground, tennis, pickle ball, fishing, boating with kayak and canoe rentals. There is picnic areas with lots of green space. Menominee Park Zoo is also located in the park and has free admission (donations accepted) The 8 acre zoo is very well maintained and has llamas, goats, peacocks, badgers, wolves, otters, turkeys, opossums, an albino raccoon ( a first for me), a beautiful chatty macaw and other animals. We enjoyed our visit to the park so much we agreed it was well worth the 1.5 hour drive from Milwaukee. Take a drive thru downtown Oshkosh and see if you can spot all 20 mini murals painted outside of various buildings. (a map of the mural locations can be found online)
