The Biggesee lake in Olpe is just stunning. Beautiful views, Beautiful nice people, delicious food. One can spend the whole day enjoying there while spending time in boat of mini Cruise. An Water Park swimming pool is also nearby. Don't miss the chance to play mini golf and photography. Beautiful paths for long walks as well.

Was in Dusseldof, Germany and wanted to do a brewery tour so we chose Krombacher. You pay 8 euro per person and as you would expect you get a nice walk through in and around all the workings of a large brewery including the bottleing, brewing, heating etc. At the end of the tour, you get to taste the beer.
OK, here is the kicker...on "normal" brewery tours I've been on you get one, maybe two samples....here, we sat down at a nice table and the beers kept coming and coming and coming. AND, they serve you a light lunch (bread, butter, prosciutto, pickles.) Place is clean, fresh and everyone is super fun...no surprise. Highly recommend this visit.
Oh, tours are in German so might be a challenge to understand parts of the tour but regardless, worth it!

This is a spectacular cave with unique creations made by the mineral waters. It is rather dark, but the guide, who spoke great English, used his flashlight to indicate the formations. It is not safe for those with mobility issues or those with babies or toddlers. Lots of steps and slippery surfaces.

Dörnschlade is a place of pilgrimage in the Sauerland. The little chapel is picturesquely located among some house near the village of Altenhof. The surroundings provide good opportunities for nice walks. The chapel itself is beautifully decorated. During christmas time there is a large double-decked nativity scene. The chapel is open from dawn to dusk.

This was fantastic! We came across this on TripAdvisor and we love to solve problems so this was wonderful. Timo really made an effort to accommodate us in English and was easy going and friendly. If you are in the area in Germany, it is definitely worth the try. - The Drama Llamas!

Park of Birds and Monkeys located on Reichshof – Eckenhagen, a little town close to Cologne, that’s a 70 km trip. Inaugurated in 1972, now has more than 1000 animals and it’s a paradise for children's 'cause most of animals do not stay in cages and a lot of beautiful birds fly over our heads. We can feed almost all the animals, like goats, otters and ostrich, but it’s important pay attention to the signs because they can’t eat everything. The park has a big area with aquatic toys, a vegetable garden, a game room, etc. They have two great restaurants and open every day including holidays.

The astonishing dam was built only in 2 years, and that is almost 100 years ago - amazing! On the ``dry`` side of the dam we climb down and then up the ``hill``.

Ein schönes kleines Schigebiet in Mitteldeutschland. Ideal für die drumherumlebenden Deutschen und nicht weit weg für Niederländer und Belgier. Zugegeben man ist schnell die Piste runter und auch wieder rauf, aber es macht Spaß und die Einkehrschwünge kann man hier auch machen. Für die Köln-Nahen reicht es um 06:00 Uhr aufzustehen, um dann schon um 08:00 Uhr auf der Piste zu sein.
