Today, we went to this museum on the Asbury Park boardwalk not knowing what to expect and, boy, did we have a great time! We are not pinball players, but thought this would be fun and it was. Retro pinball machines, arcade games, skeeball, hockey, pong, vintage TV shows on the screens, and "kids" of all ages having a ball. It was a cold, rainy day today, so I don't know what it looks like in nice weather, but since this is not yet and summer season, it was quite cozy! The entrance is on the boardwalk side and it is packed with old, well maintained machines. Above the machines, there is brief history of the manufacturer and the history of the machine and what its goals for play are. You pay a one-day rate and you can play all day with the one admission. It was fun trying our luck from machine to machine. My husband loved an old vintage baseball pinball machine that tallied runs, hits,etc. and had little men "running" from base to base. There is a little "café" inside that serves basic snack foods, but there are also real restaurants nearby. The museum in a little "strip" near the Stone Pony. Don't know what parking is like during the "season" but now street and lot parking were available. I can't tell you the last time we had so much fun and it was fun watching others having fun as well. The one day pass is $25 but that is for unlimited play with in and out privileges. Tom, the manager, was very nice as was the staff in general. Highly recommend for you, your friends, your grandkids, etc. It's like a trip to a time where life was simpler and just fun.

I live close to a few beaches and this is one of my favorites! Ocean Grove's family friendly atmosphere extends to the beach and its boardwalk. While it can get crowded during the summer months, I always have a relaxing time when I am here.

Kane's facility is enormous compared to your run-of-the-mill craft brewery. Beer quality and selection doesn't disappoint. Lagers, IPAs, Stouts. They have a beer that will fit your style.

Took a friend who had never parasailed before and is afraid of heights and sharks. He was actually laughing as we were dunked and swirled in the ocean. We enjoyed the view And serene quiet up 300 feet in the air . We enjoyed the classic rock music during the boat ride and we clapped for each couple when they returned . Lots of fun..

I enjoy this outlet mall because it's not too large or confusing. It's basically one large square with 2 short walkways on the inner part. The prices are good, as it's an outlet and it's never too crowded. It's very clean and well kept. We took guests from England here and they love the prices and the variety.

I went with my daughter and two grandchildren, ages 9 and 6. The waves were too rough for them to be comfort in the ocean, but they enjoyed both walking the beach and digging in the sand. The playground was a definite hit! The bathroom was clean and there are outside showers.

We love to go to Clancy's as we always get to talk with some of the locals. Most are so fantastic. We sat with Earll (73 year old local) who was so awesome! He was a veteran. If you run into him tell him Traci and Tony said hello! And buy him a Bud from us!!!!! Oh, the food and service is also very good!!!

So for Valentine's Day my girlfriend decided to think outside the box. What could be better than hatchet throwing and byob, not much right, well second thought probably a lot. Ok to start it's extremely crowded and reservations are necessary and better be made or you going to be out of luck. So what it is a big Warehouse space with different hatchet throwing cages, after signing your life away and a quick tutorial you are left on your own to throw. Contrary to popular belief it takes you a bit to get the hang of it and honestly after I finally got the hang of it I was pretty bored for the rest of my hour. If you want food you are also going to need to order that, there seems to be a small refreshment stand but no one told me anything about it or asked if I wanted anything. So for $40 you get two hatchets, two wood targets to throw at and not much of anything else. I also noticed no heat or ac ducts but a lot of ceiling fans so I'm sure in the summer months it's probably a bit warm. My overall verdict why not a bad idea, it needs some major refinement, plus for $40 I'd rather go to some bar with a dart board, order a pitcher of beer and have some fun.

This review will serve to supplement my previous attempt to find a parking spot at Pier Village in Long Branch.
As mentioned earlier, we continued further south along Ocean Avenue, passing several private beach clubs. We then entered Allenhurst, just south of Deal. Weaving in and out of several blocks near the ocean, I found one (legal) parking spot. We then walked some three blocks to the boardwalk/bulkhead which overlooks the Allenhurst Beach Club area. Frankly, I expected to be turned away before inquiring if we could purchase day passes. To my surprise, that option was available to us. We were then fitted with wrist bands and invited to enjoy the beach.
First glance showed that this is a family resort area void of any boom boxes, piped-in music or rowdy teens. The only sound to enjoy was the crash of the surf as the waves hit the beach. Gulls, flying overhead added to the natural shore experience. After talking to a beach club member, we found that a local deli (Serpico's) would deliver food and drink to the beach via a cell phone call, sweet! We did that and enjoyed great sub sandwiches and soft drinks under our umbrella.
Frankly, I did not miss the Long Branch beach, having to move away from loud people and their music at least 3 times during the day. The Allenhurst Beach Club was a delight. Not having to pay for parking was an added bonus. We enjoyed being beach "clubbies" for the day. (BTW, their rest rooms are located on the beach and built into part of their cabana structure and were quite clean.)

I grew up minutes from the track but never actually went to a race until recently. I had no idea what I was missing. I attended the track for the first time last fall for a jack o'lantern festival. I had such a great time, that I went to two more festivals, a seafood festival and a wine and chocolate festival in the months after. There is a picnic area and you can bring your own food and alcohol in. However, during the festivals, they bring in awesome and delicious food trucks! They have several places inside where attendees can buy alcohol too. For us first-time horse race watchers, they have a tent where you can learn how to bet. This information is also in the program that you can purchase at the entrance. The races are spaced far enough apart that you can get food, more drinks, and place bets between each race. I look forward to my next event at this historic track! If you bring your own water bottle in, you can refill for free at the water fountains.
