...from an entirely different perspective. So nice to see the sunset from a calming and peaceful gondola rather than a beach bar. Komang was so hospitable and enthusiastic (although it is a sad tale of an industry lost). She was very informative and we wish her all the very best in her new business and, hopefully, attempts to get seaweed farming back on the agenda for the sake of the local community. Highly recommended as something a bit different to do on lembongan.

We took a river boat tour ..it took about 30mins and was quite nice.. the man directing the boat was a local man who could not speak english, which was fine but would have been nice to communicate .. only cost us 50 thousand idr p/person .. we just went to the area and paid right there, we did not book in advance.. worth it for the cost for sure

Selambung Beach

Reviewed By LRMcK - Cairns, Australia

From a distance the beach looks lovely as it has a wide expanse of golden sand and clear water, but when we visited it was extremely hot and the beach and water was dirty. There is a lot of garbage on the beach and in the water. There were so many boats anchored that it was unclear where there was a suitable place to swim. The water looked so inviting, but the sand was full of broken coral and rocks. No matter what time of the tide the water was shallow as the beach seems to be adjacent to a shelf that extended quite a way out into a channel. Not really good for swimming.
There were many restaurants and bars along the beach which seemed to range from mediocre to very good. Some hotels had sun lounges and bean bags that you could rent under beach umbrellas.
