I cannot say that this monument is unique because of its architecture or design, but as the memory of people who lived in Novorossiysk and live nowadays and will live after us. Memory of history of hero-city!

If you are not on an organized tour, just wait until a group comes by and ask to join them. The cost is 150 rubles. Tours are in Russian language, and you can take a lot of pictures. Living quarters are like stepping back into time, or watching the hunt of red october. In the officer's recreational room there is a wooden pannel with red square and Lenin. The guide will offer to sell hats, pins, magnets etc. (so you will have to sit through a presentation of his items). On the kiosk just outside the boat they sell tee-shirts for 300 - 350 rubles. She had a simple one on the table, but she has plenty other interesting ones hidden. (cotton quality is not that excellent though)

На восточном высоком берегу Цемесской бухты, на нектоном удалении от города. Этот памятник нужно обязательно посмотреть. Особенно сильное впечатление оставляют небольшие барельефы наших судов с указанием мест и дат их гибели. И вид на город и бухту в ясную погоду потрясающий.

Для набережной приморского города -то, что доктор прописал. И жизненно, и символично. Начинаешь реально представлять, как жены и боевые подруги провожают и встречают суда и своих моряков на них. На своём месте, и идея правильная.

This is also a grandios monument. Unfortunately it is on the other side of the bay and on a busy road. If you want to reach by foot, then cut across the docks. It is a looong way and the docks are what they are. So a lot of truck drivers, trains, garbage. But I pumped into a couple of monuments (lenin statue on top of a pedestal where marble sailors crawled around it). Once you get to the other side of the docks on the busy road just head right for a looong walk. You will eventually bump into a panzer standing on the side (behind it the reminescence of a buliding destroyed during WW2). From there, the monument is about 4 minute' s walk. Right now the area is under renovation, so you have to enter the construction site. But this also means that you have the place all for yourself. On the way back I could not walk, so I took a Mashroutka back to the center. (18 rubles). Eventually nearly all mashroutkas will stop by the bazar, you can have a walk aournd)

Может быть, в разгар пляжного сезона здесь и потрясающе.
Но в январе практически безлюдно, хотя даже зимой могу отметить:
1. За памятником Кеше Козодоеву в озерце и в январе плавают птицы;
2. Жители Новороссийска приходят сюда и зимой, хоть их и немного;
3. Очень демократичные цены на сувениры, уже не помню, когда и где ещё покупал магнит за 30 рублей.
Подход со стороны проспекта Ленина, вход с набережной перекрыт.

На противоположной от центра города части Цемесской бухты и сильно ближе, чем это указано на карте. Брошенный и предоставленный сам себе разрушенный Дворец культуры. Сохранился чудом и смотрится весьма символично. Руины. Такая же участь постигла почти все здания Новороссийска. Стоит заехать-это недалёко.

Во время отпуска посетили парк живой природы "Додо". Стоит отметить большую, ухоженную территорию. Здесь есть зеленые уголки, где можно скрыться от палящего солнца, что очень актуально летом.
Питомцев тоже довольно много. В основном, это птицы. Но есть ещё лошади, олень, представители семейства кошачьих, обезьяны, черепахи. Для птиц можно купить корм и очень многих покормить прямо из рук.
Очень приятно было отметить то, что за питомцами здесь отлично ухаживают, все клетки чистые, отсутствует отвратительный запах неубранного зоопарка.
Планируя время, здесь спокойно можно провести полдня, а то и больше.
При входе есть небольшой магазин с сувенирами и сладостями. Полноценно перекусить здесь негде.
Рекомендую посетить парк- дети будут в восторге!

Related back to 1920 when White Army chased by Red Army was leaving Novorossijsk. Number of seats on ships was very limited, thus officers were ordered to leave their hoses on shore. Some people believe the scene was inspired by famous soviet movie "Two comrades in service". Movie has similar scene.
The monument itself is very realistic and dramatic.
