Chateau de La Dauphine

Le Chateau de La Dauphine is in the heart of 53 hectares (130 acres) of vines. The southerly exposed vineyard, takes the form of an amphitheatre, with a 60 metre height difference separating the highest and lowest parcels. Organic farming & Biodynamic farming are used in order to respect nature and men. The Labrune family took over this estate in 2015, determined to pursue the very demanding quality based policy. Thanks to a meticulous and respectful work on the vines, a wine making process perfectly managed with very modern technical facilities, Chateau de La Dauphine is one of the outstanding properties of the right bank of Bordeaux and it is happy to offer you 2 fine wines. A blend between harmony and elegance. Because we are the elegant blend between History and Modernity, we received in 2014 a Best Of Wine Tourism award in the «Architecture & Landscape» category. A 2nd award in 2016 for the «Food Service» category and the last one in 2018 in the category “Sustainable Practices”

Our guide Denis Duffrau selected this visit for us and we were welcomed by Lisa at Chateau de la Dauphine. We walked around the beautiful grounds and inside the historic furnished Chateau and were transported back to another century. Lisa (who at first impression seemed upset because we were somewhat late to our appointment, but actually was only joking) guided us through a very interesting and rich explanations covering the vines and the eco-friendly practices, the winemaking process and of course a wonderful tasting, including even a bit of the new rose wine. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment of our visit. Thank you Lisa and Charlotte!!

Vignobles Ponty

Vignobles Ponty is a family-owned boutique winery in the Canon Fronsac AOC (right bank of Bordeaux). We were founded in 1905. Our winemaker is now Michel Ponty, the fourth generation of the Ponty Family. We welcome you to come visit our tasting room where you can try our range of four red wines and one white wine, all from the Fronsac area. From there we can guide you to a tour of our vineyards and the Fronsac region. Our wines range from 7 to 25 euros a bottle and we have different vintages available, as well as a selection of wines from other regions of France. If your children are coming with you, we have an outside playground right in front of our tasting room, and also a large room next to our tasting room where they can play.
