We had a guided tour in the impressive , huge cellars of a this family run winery. The tour was run by the owners'daughter a beautiful and proffesional woman.Later we had a guided wine tasting accompanied by a great meal. The beaf from the oven in red wine saucewas mouth melting and wines!!!!! what a treat. Loved the different spas with different temperatures and designs in a wide, open air design. The main bath was about 80% covered with a high awning where people would go to get out of the rain. The changing rooms/showers were not first rate, but adequate.

this is a must see sight, it is beautiful on the outside and outstanding on the inside with sensational artwork, statues and so much gold work it is difficult to take it all in. The frescos are breathtaking. The Basilica is also a cool and calm haven on a very hot day. Welcome respite.

Suba-lyuk Cave Museum and Visitor Centre

Reviewed By 5Weasels - Greater London, United Kingdom

The town of Cserepfalu is not far off the main route from Budapest to Miskolc. The town itself is nothing special, but the surrounding landscape is beautiful.
We went in search of the Subalyuk Cave - a cave occupied by Neanderthals.
There's a visitor centre and a little museum and cafe. The museum houses various Neanderthal remains found locally. It's all in Hungarian at the moment, but the very, very helpful volunteer in charge explained how he wants to translate it all to English.
He provided directions to the cave itself, maps and enthusiastically encouraged us to visit some of the other features of the landscape.
We took a short walk to the site of the Cave. It's about 1km down a wide track - and then you have a bit of mountain scrambling to do. This isn't really manageable for young children. The Cave itself is fascinating - you're standing where prehistoric people lived. It's warm and dry inside, and has a view down the mountain. It's not huge, but if stepping in ancient footsteps is your thing, it's great.
We also walked through lovely meadows full of butterflies and climbed a hill to the Devil's Tower - a feature of the limestone landscape resembling a large termite mound. I would have happily followed more of the walking trails and taken the advice of the Museum Curator. It's a lovely place to explore with a real sense of history, and although well known locally, not on the main tourist trail and fairly peaceful.

Big spa complex at Saliris Resort and Spa, with big indoor pools (from 14C to 36C) and wellness. There are at least 10-15 different pools alltogether, also pool with sliders for children, but this Saliris Spa wellness complex it is not an Aqua Park! The outdoor thermal pool is a second to none especially in cold seasons and weather (autumn and winter and spring), when your head breezing, while you are in the warm 33-36C water.

De La Motte Castle

This castle is next door to Tunderkert Hotel, basically there is corridor from the hotel to the castle.
Built in the late 18th century, the castle was pretty much ruined after the WWII.
Now, only 5 rooms can be visited in the main wing on the first floor facing the garden. The entrance on the ground floor is very nice with its wall paintings.
You must drop in if you happen to be in Noszvaj!

With the exception of a very ugly building built under socialism the main square is a worth visiting and seeing the shops and the church and the statue. they really should demolish the modern building or give it an exterior the fits the neoclassical/baroque atmosphere of the square.
