This is the place to go for great advice and information before you start your visit to Akko. The great staff can help you (in several languages) to orient yourself in the city and help you map out a great day of touring, eating, and fun. They have a short film, maps, brochures and lots of advice regarding where and when. Follow the signs to Tourist Information when you enter the old part of town on Weizmann st (there is a parking lot right there at 1 Weizmann where you can park for the day if you are coming by car). The signs kind of drop off but you can ask for help at any store or restaurant. You will see a lovely restored stone building with bright blue shutters. Inside is a gorgeous, light-filled space which also includes local artwork for sale and interesting informational exhibits. If you have transportation and a flexible schedule, they can help you extend your visit to the area to include other sites such as local inns, wineries, food or crafts workshops and beautiful parks and natural sites in the western Galilee. We just spent several days doing just that and there is a lot to do and see in the area! Enjoy your visit to historic Akko and the Galilee.

Above Beit She'an valley, and view to the beautiful north of Israel. There is a nice short walk beside this wind turbines, and you can feel their power from above. Most recommended autumn to spring.

You can buy tickets to take an underground tunnel tour that traverses much of the street and exits at an excavation area that is ongoing. The excavation area is currently unearthing and restoring an old Tzfat house that existed during British Mandate times and perhaps earlier. In the tunnels themselves, there are antiquities that were unearthed that were far older...there were even some Roman remains. Pretty interesting
