We are open from 12 everyday for fine ales, cider, lager, wines & spirits including Kingswell Gin distilled in the brewery. Our 8 hand pumps of cask ale feature Phipps, Hoggleys and a revolving guest ale. We have added an oak and glass partition between the bar and brewery so customers can view the brewing process as they drink and eat. Each day will bring a cabaret of mashing, sparging, racking and cleaning as Phipps staff go about their business of creating our beers. Almost all the bar's fittings are reclaimed with many coming from old closed Phipps pubs. Over the foyer there are new toilets including Disabled. We have kept the space true to its origins as a working brewhouse so you can drink ale with the smallest carbon footprint in the county but the biggest taste and the longest history. Hot food is available Wednesday to Sunday afternoon. There will be gigs and events as advertised.
