This tour is one of the most popular Mountain Bike tours in northern Iceland. You cycle in the evening on a mountain bike and start sightseeing immediately. On your way, you will stop by the “underground bakery” where the locals bake their well-known Geysir bread. You then continue past the first steam generator in Iceland and head to the old steam bath, the old bathing caves close to the fissure Cave of Grjótagjá, and after visiting the cave we go to the Mývatn Naturebaths for an hour of relaxing in the warm water and natural steam baths. After a nice soak, you get back on your mountain bike and head back. You can either bring your own swimsuit and towel, or you cna rent some at the Mývatn Nature Baths. The cycling adventure is on a gravel road for a large portion of the way. There are a couple of small hills, but it is generally an easy ride. Multiple stops will be taken, so you will have time for photos and to enjoy the scenery.

Inclusions: All taxes, fees and handling charges, Local guide, Professional guide, Use of bicycle, Use of helmet, Guaranteed to skip the long lines

Exclusions: Food and drinks, Hotel pickup and drop-off (if option not selected)

This was one of the best experiences of my life, seeing and hearing a whale so close was just a breathtaking moment that I will never forget. The crew was also very friendly and telling us a lot about the area and animals. They are also involved in research and name all the whales. They were offering masks and gloves and had separate boxes for single use and to-clean stuff so well done for covid prevention. Unforgettable experience that I would recommend to everyone.

I don't do reviews often but this company deserves it. Hlynur was AMAZING. So prompt, professionally dressed, funny, kind, personable, knowledgeable, and amazing with my children. It was my twins' 9th birthday that day, they asked prior how old and surprised them with a gift for each that they loved. Made them feel so special. One had to visit restroom towards end of tour and he whisked her off through a HUGE crowd directly to one we could not have found ourselves and the tour was already done. They went above and beyond and gave us a fantastic day. The nature baths and Lake were so awesome and Iceland overall - you just can't go wrong. Beautiful place and Hlynur loves his home and country and you can tell through his tour and passion for the things we were seeing. I cannot recommend them enough. DO BOOK THROUGH THEM if you book at all!

It was a WONDERFUL experience! I chose the place because they were really fast and friendly to email me back, and the tour didn’t disappoint at all! The guides were really sweet and they made the tour fit my riding level perfectly! I learned a lot, and we switched around the horses, which means I tried 4 horses to get the most out of the tour! I can definitely recommend this! ????

This trip begins with a highlight: after a short ride on countryside tracks, we will arrive at the amazing waterfall "Reykjafoss". You will soon understand why Icelanders describe it as "the steaming falls"! Later on, you will be having fun crossing quite a few rivers on your trusted companion, the Icelandic horse. In the amazing natural paradise of the river delta Héraðsvötn you might, depending on the season, be able to watch birds hatching or pick a handful of crowberries whilst taking a short break. The terrain offers the best possibilities to fully experience the gaits of the Icelandic horse, especially the famous tölt. Please give us some details about your previous riding experience. This helps us choose the right horses for you. You can do this on the check out page. THIS RIDE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS!

Our main reason for coming to Iceland was to see northern lights so my daughter and I chose this tour with Jónas for just the two of us. He was absolutely amazing! We got to see the northern lights that we have been longing for for so long and he even treated us to homemade hot chocolate and very tasty donuts which was a nice touch. Jónas is a jack of all trades so he knows a lot about the area and can give you the science behind the lights. You can tell that he loves his country just based on how passionate he is and how excited he is to share it with visitors. He took professional pictures for us and allowed us to download them so that we could show them to our friends and family which is a fantastic perk since we could not get our cameras to work very well each time the lights showed up. We had done a similar northern lights tour in Reykjavik which had 15 people packed on a small bus where everything felt squished and rushed, but this trip was 10x better than that. You won’t be disappointed by having Jónas take you out to see the northern lights. He’s a wonderful person and treated us as guests unlike some of the bigger companies that just pack as many people as they can on a bus to get the most money. So book your next trip with Jónas and go see those northern lights as they are stunning!
