Sadly all of their farm tours are on hold for summer 2020, no visitors are allowed at the farm location. However, we bought a dozen delicious oysters at their Oyster Stand on Ackerly Pond Lane. $15 for a bakers dozen all self serve and Venmo accepted.

Lavender By The Bay

Located in East Marion NY, Lavender by the Bay has been growing the highest quality lavender on Long Island for more than 15 years. We offer seasonal fresh cut bunches, dried lavender, lavender plants, lavender sachets and crafts, and honey from our own beehives. During our blooms there is an entry fee into the fields. This fee goes towards the upkeep and preservation of the beauty, form, and peaceful nature of our farm. We’ve released a limited amount of field tickets for both our Calverton ($10) and East Marion ($12) locations. Tickets can be purchased on our site. The lavender is typically in bloom mid/late June through mid-July, but is ultimately up to Mother Nature.

Wow! We had no idea this place existed until we did some research before our first visit to North Fork! It was a hot day, but the fields were gorgeous. They do a real nice job of having walking pathways, creative seating, and some shaded areas. They also sell some of their plans and lavender items. Would highly recommend - bring your camera!!

It’s worth the drive all the way out east just for their ice cream. Don’t get fooled by the small humbled store front. That place is an ice cream connoisseurs treasure chest. Every sigle flavor that we had was pure perfection, and with the distinct flavors choices like lavender, basil ,honey, you know it’s going to be a hit or miss. But let me tell you, they completely NAILED IT! Looking forward to going back.

We love this place. We just started finally going out to places since COVID hit. We came here for their peach festival and watermelon festival this August. They have a lot to do for kids and adults. It’s initially free to walk in and walk around and get food. There is a place to get wine inside a wine bar. If you want to go to the bigger place inside, you have to pay per person. Kids under 2 are free. Inside the part that you have to pay, there is a kids car driving area, a place to feed animals, an obstacle course, a play area for sports, family size foosball, hay rides, jumbo jumpers, play ground, maze and pig races. One of our favorite foods here is the panini with mozzarella and cheese. It is so amazing. They also make really great lemonade - not too sweet or sour. The only negative experience we had was the girls who operated the ice cream place closed it early at 6:30 three times that we came here even though they close at 7 with no warning. The last time we went we made it because we learned they randomly can close early. Everyone else is really amazing here.

Great place to go peach picking in this scenic east end town. You go into the fields to pick your own peaches. Pricy per pound but well worth it! Perfect peaches!
