On this 3-hour tour of the Lower East Side, you and a group of 4-8 people will eat your way through the streets, as you sample delicacies from New York's premier appetizing stores, ethnic eateries, and "mom and pop" restaurants. Explore what was once an immigrant and working class neighborhood rich in ethnic diversity and culture. Learn about the history of the tenement buildings and much more!

You'll have the chance to sample foods from five different establishments on the tour (we visit six, so you can choose when to take a break). We’ll sample several wings, including an infamous recipe prepared by Lina Brown-Young. Her father, John Young, was inventor of Buffalo’s first chicken wings, which have been unavailable for 23 years. We’ll also explore how race dynamics shaped the city, from the city’s working class origins to its present-day resurgence.
