What to do and see in New York City, New York (NY): The Best Multi-day Tours

December 31, 2021 Jeremy Dunfee

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

This was an Amazing photography workshop with instruction on camera use, composition, layout and planing. I learned more about my own equipment and how to compose a correct photograph in the the time spent with instructor than I have watching hours and hours of YouTube combined. I will definitely continue doing these workshops to gain more skill and knowledge. I look forward to the next outing. For any individuals who want to learn how to use your camera correctly and how to shoot landscape photography with the back drop of Manhattan, I highly recommend this workshop.

Join City Running Tours on two days of guided running tours throughout New York City's most well known landmarks. Day 1 will take you on an 4 mile adventure through the world's most well know green space, Central Park. It's hard to imagine that everything you see while running through park was put there by design, but that's exactly what you'll experience on this running tour. The lower portion of the park features the most ambitious landscape architecture ever implemented in the United States and magically escorts the viewer out of the city and into a peaceful park surrounding. Day 2 brings you on a 4 mile tour over the most iconic landmark in all of New York, the Brooklyn Bridge. At any time of day the bridge provides great views of Manhattan and Brooklyn and offers a look back at the origins of modern day New York City, when Manhattan and Brooklyn were still separate cities. Run with us and check off your bucket list as these will be two days that you will always remember!

Inclusions: Water for each participant

Exclusions: There is no coat or bag check, however your guide will have a pack to carry smaller items

I recently did another personalized running tour with City Running Tours. I have done several tours in the past with them both in NYC and in other locations. It is a great way to see the sights and learn about a new city. This is my fifth run with David and he is an amazing runner and guide. He really gave me the motivation to power through 8 miles in some cold blustery conditions while having some great conversation with the right amount of encouragement. Every time I do a running tour in NYC, I run in a different area of the city and learn some interesting facts that I never knew before. I highly recommend doing a running tour with City Running Tours if traveling to one of the many cities that have tours in. It is a great way to get your miles in while keeping it interesting on the road.

I understand that we are all dealing with Covid 19 during this stressful time. However we decided to take this tour and booked many weeks ahead. The tour was cancelled as we were boarding our flight to fly out west and left us stranded. No hotels. Just sent a little email saying I hope you get this email that the tour is cancelled. Extremely unprofessional. Didn’t offer to try to help us make other arrangements. Will definitely hesitate to book on Viator again.
