Conveniently located on level 5 of The Entertainment Quarter car park in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, Hyper Karting is suitable for all weather and events. Our kids track and karts are the perfect introduction to Go Karting for 3-8 year olds.

We visited Hyper Karting for a mate’s birthday, having been very pleased to discover this new addition to the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park. In terms of location, it’s on the upper level of the car park. Enter the car park via the Park Road side and head to level 5. The set up is great - having taken the whole upper floor of the car park (which is covered, so a good rainy day activity), the track is a good size and the surface is excellent. The electric carts are new, as are the helmets. 10 can race at once. I’d recommend booking - particularly at the weekend - as slots do fill up. Once you’ve completed COVID & track sign in, there’s a short safety video and then you’re good to go. The karts obviously aren’t as quick as on outdoor tracks but are still lots of fun. It was $29 for a 10-15 mins race. On our second race we asked them if they could up the speed of the karts and they happily obliged. The karts also have a booster option for giving you extra power on the straights. Highly recommended for a fun activity, close to the city centre! Note, there’s no toilets and no secure lockers for your belongs. Whilst there’s also no food & drink available, there are lots of options nearby at the EQ.

Urban Winery Sydney is in The Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park and includes a full functioning open winery, a cellar door and wine bar, and an event space. It’s a place to enjoy and discover the very best of NSW wine and produce, including our very own A.Retief wines hand-crafted on site.

A work colleague initially recommended that I visit the Urban Winery Sydney in their brand new premises conveniently located within the Entertainment Quarter Sydney. Not knowing a whole lot about the facility, my wife and I thought we would drop into the wine bar for a pre-game glass of Shiraz before the Swans game. Initially looking for just a decent glass of wine, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that this is an actual working winery in the heart of the city! Not only are the wines absolutely fantastic within a hip relaxed setting, this is where the wine is actually made with grapes sourced from various cold climate regions in NSW. There are winery tours, blending master classes, cellar door sales and wine tasting experiences all available which actually blew my mind. They even hire the venue for Weddings and corporate functions! Whilst there I was lucky enough to meet the chief winemaker Alex Retief who was a wealth of knowledge on all things wine. Alex was extremely approachable and you could tell how honestly passionate he is about NSW wines and produce just by talking to him. Going forward this will be my new choice of venue to taste and drink wine but I am very much looking forward to my booked master blending class next week. Pro Tip: Make sure you try the charcuterie board!

The Hoyts Lux at the Entertainment Quarter is simply amazing. I always come here with my husband whenever there are movies with great cinematic & special effects experience. The recliner chair is so comfortable and of good size. Being able to order food + drinks and timed the delivery is a wonderful aspect of Lux Cinema. Also, perfect night for specil occassions.

The exhibit starts in one room with the story of Van Gogh's artist journey and how it aligns with his life journey. From here you move into a second room filled with huge screens where a showcase of Van Gogh's artworks is brought to life. Masks are required, and timed tickets should be pre booked as numbers are controlled because of social distancing requirements.
