New Castle is a city in Henry County, Indiana, 44 miles (71 km) east-northeast of Indianapolis, on the Big Blue River. The city is the county seat of Henry County. New Castle is home to New Castle Fieldhouse, the largest high school gymnasium in the world. The city is surrounded by agricultural land. Small museum with lots of items. Home of Wilber and outbuildings. The place was closed for season but getting ready for Christmas Walk. Lights and celebration. Small R\ C model airplane field behind house. Watch pilots fly a few planes while here. Bu sure to stop by during regular hours April-October.

Interesting place, showcases various Indiana high school basketball teams, special exhibit on Oscar Robertson, John Wooden and the Milan 1954 championship team. Lots of artifacts to see for the Indiana basketball enthusiast. Good bookstore and gift shop. Free parking. Even if you are not from Indiana, you will enjoy the exhibits and stories of high school teams in a state where basketball is KING. Watch the video for a good introductory. Note, this showcases primarily high school basketball teams, not professional or college.

One of our go to campgrounds. Can choose from shaded tree area or open grassy area to your preference. Water and electric hook up available at sites. Shower facilities average. Nice little lake for fishing/kayaking. Sites enough apart to not feel on top of other campers. Only one time had problem with mud/too much water which got in our lines but it was before the season had officially started and it looked like they were fixing a lot of the hookups throughout the campground.

Nice trails; decent place to fish, boat, hike, picnic, or bike for a day or weekend. Only about 3 miles west of New Castle via CR 200 So. to Greensboro Pike southwest of town. Fairly large fish like bass, catfish, and crappie can be caught from the 180 acre lake that only allows for trolling motors. The modern campground is open from May through October, while some of the facilities are handicapped accessible. There is also a 6-1/2 mile bridle trail for horseback hiding as well as a 10.5-mile single lane moderate level mountain bike track that circumvents the lake. There is a $2.50 entrance fee per vehicle with varying fees from $1/day for a rider on a bike to $4.50/day for a rider on horseback. Camping is $24/nite for W & E or $18 for seniors, tent, or horse camping. A large shelter can also be rented. Annual passes are available for entrance, boat launching and mountain bike permits.

A group of us met up here after work to celebrate an occasion. We can't even describe the fun and experience we had. This is not your ordinary kart track. The rental karts are quick and plenty for your average Joe. We spent 20 minutes on the short technical course and 40 minutes on the longer course. We were spent and definitely felt like we got our money's worth. The price is a much better value than the $20-25 you pay at some of the central Indiana Pacers for 15 minutes. We highly recommend this.

Not an upscale atmosphere by any means but great people and the sandwiches are wonderful. This is an old stag bar and actually was an Icehouse. A local watering hole so to speak. They do a great fundraiser for breast cancer every year.

This is a typical city park (though maybe untypical in it's cleanliness). there's a ball field, dog park and shelters. we went to play the 9 whole frisbee disk golf course which winds pleasantly through out the park.

My Family had visited the Big Bounce one time before and my children loved it. It is a good place for all ages because they have an under 4 area. I had my son's birthday party here. I rented it as a private party because I wanted my guest to enjoy themselves. It is a bit on the expensive side, but the kids had a blast and they slept good that night. There are also arcade games for the "big kids" LOL! I wish they had included some tokens or tickets with the birthday party. Overall I would recommend this to a friend.
9. Rose City Bowl
The Rose Bowl is "Henry County's funnest place to be" (the county's largest family recreation center). It is one of Indiana's premier bowling centers, with great bowling, a brand new arcade, and excellent restaurant and bar (beer only). Special deals every day. Outstanding cosmic bowl Friday and Saturday from 10pm to midnight. Come join the fun.
