St Stephens Church

I'm not sure (as I haven't visited all the churches in Nessebar), but this one is looking the biggest, with some kind of a small churchyard. You have to pay about 6BGN/person to enter. There you can also buy a single ticket for visiting all other churches in Nessebar.
The church itself is ancient and beautiful - have a look at the pics.

This is a beautiful area with some very rustic looking buildings, I had my camera out all day around here because of how nice it was. Word of warning, some shop owners are very rude, in fact its mostly the shop owners that sell Nazi memrobillia that were rude.

Recently renovated this church in and out is beautiful. Gold and painting everywhere. A peaceful courtyard with seats, grape vines a drinking Fountain and covered area.
The gold domed roof is amazing. The bell struck on the hour is seriously loud and the locals love to watch the tourists jump.
It's worth the walk but come via the beach and enjoy the views.

Old Nessebar

It may have been cold and stormy but it the town was wonderfully quaint. Since there were no tourists many stores were not opened but there was enough for us to get a feeling of the town and do some shopping. At a small antique store I got some good prices on copper items and had a great time at the Ji'votnoto Gallery. We visited a local museum which to be honest wasn't much just a few display cases with some items of clothing and home tools. The streets were wonderful to roam around even though there was a bit of work being done on them . Definitely a place to spend some leisurely time especially off season.

Journey to the end of Ul Professor Stonayov by whatever means you can - walking from the centre will take about 30 minutes along the front from the centre. Pay a man called Karlovo a whopping 2 levs for the freshest, smelliest mud and then either apply it yourself or let Karlovo, self appointed master applicator, do the job. Wait 30 minutes and then dive in the sea. Revitalised and smooth.

Lovely old ruins in the centre of Old Nessebar very popular with tourists and there is usually a wait to get the best places to take pictures. It dominates the Old square and so the bars around it are very popular too. Well worth a few minutes to take in the scenery.

We had a great day at this water park trying out all the slides. There is a great variety and an option for all levels of courage. The only down side was lifeguards managing the slides were miserable, unsmiling and not engaging.
Although this seems to be a common theme with Bulgarian service staff.
We took the free bus from Sunny Beach there and back having bought our tickets online. They are cheaper for Saturday and Sunday visits online. On entry you get a NFC wristband onto which you load money to pay for food and drinks. This is not a con and allows you to lock your cash away. Anything left is fully refunded.
Lockers were 3lev on the wristband with a 5lev cash returnable deposit. We put our towels down on a sun bed but never really went back to it to sit down.
You are not allowed to bring your own food and drink in and bags are checked on entry. We were allowed our bottle of water.
We got a burger, chips and 400ml beer for about 11.50lev each (9.50lev with 200ml coke) and a pancake with chocolate for about 3.50lev each so despite the captive audience it's not overly expensive.
Definitely recommend the Rafting Slide in the far right corner, doubling up is much better than single, and the waves on the Rafting River every half hour or so.
They have photographers taking pictures as you come down many of the slides, mind the face you pull!!! they are printed and displayed at the end of the day for you to purchase if you wish, 5lev cash each. We used the money returned from our wristband to get one.

Church of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel

Reviewed By RGAngelova

Located in the Old Town, "Свети архангели Михаил и Гавраил“ or The Church of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel is one of the ancient and beautiful landmarks in the UNESCO World Heritage Site ~ Nessebar.
Along with the other archaeological sites in this small town, this church have semicircular pediments in the upper reaches. Though most of the roof is missing, its brick details, friezes of triple bands of coloured ceramic rosettes and circles inside the arches complete the exterior decoration of this medieval Eastern Orthodox church.
One of the most photographed in Nessebar and surrounded with cafes, restaurants and small shops, this is definitely interesting to see if you are in town.
