Join families on promenade as the sun sets on the Bay of Naples. View finds from Pompeii and Herculaneum, destroyed by Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale or revel in the art and architecture of Museo Cappella Sansevero, built in the late 1500s.

As Pliny the Young reports into his letters to Tacitus dated 25 years after the 79AD tragedy, the eruption of the Vesuvius has been a dreadful event, leading to the disappearing of two of the main cities settled on the volcano slopes – the most famous among those is Pompeii. With your guide you will enter the ancient city gates and will be described in detail the habits and tradition of the Roman town. At the end of the Pompeii tour, have a quick break for lunch and then continue your tour to the Mt. Vesuvius: joining a group tour, you will walk up to the crater with a geology expert guide. We did the Pompeii for kids (the real one) with Giovanna. She was absolutely amazing. We were a group of 6 with children ages 7, 9, 11 and 13. She did an amazing job of engaging the children and helping us all learn about the city of Pompeii and the life of the Roman society in that time period. She was extremely knowledgable, kind, patient and accommodating. She was also very helpful and kind to provide us other information and tips on the area. I give my highest recommendation.
