Nagarkot is a former Village Development Committee located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nepal in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone and as of 2015 part of Nagarkot Municipality. At the time of the 2011 census it had a population of 4571 and had 973 houses in it. At an elevation of 2,195 meters, it is considered one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur District. It is known for a sunrise view of the Himalayas including Mount Everest as well as other peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley. The scenic beauty of the place makes it a very popular hiking route for tourists. It is located approximately 7000 ft (2000 m) above sea level and 28 km from Kathmandu International Airport.

Nagatkot-Nepal: Panoramic Walk After the sun has risen all spectators left the tower. I could say Nagarkot is gifted with a mesmerizing panoramic view of sunrise and sunset. We went back to the hotel for breakfast and after 30 minutes we started the "jungle walks". I'm confident enough I'll finish this challenge after accomplishing the "Nagarkot Sunrise Walk". The forests are covered with pine trees giving the place a mysterious glow. There are some shiny element in the stone and powdered ones which me and other lady tourist noticed. It is a place where people can take pleasure in the natural beauty and spectacular sights of the surrounding mountains. The Himalayas are stunning and well worth the trip. It's breathtaking views and picture perfect after 3hours of hiking, steep route and the climb is absolutely worth the pain. I could not have asked for a better experience at my age. Sometimes simple things are the most perfect when you are surrounded by nature..let's live in the mountain, uhhh!
