Visited with my family during the evening time and ended up catching the last boat to the fort.
Boats are extremely dinghy and filthy. It was getting darker also not helping to the cause. The boatmen are extremely commercial and in mood to shell out money from us.
Fort looks magnificent from a distance and has some interesting history to it.
But not recommended to go with kids and esp in late evening.

Kashid is a clean and peaceful beach. Does get crowded on weekends but on weekdays you'll find it almost like a private beach. Facilities available around are pretty basic though and you'll need to make your own arrangements for any emergency. Basic tea and snacks are available on some roadside stalls and for those interested, horse rides and basic water sports are available in weekends!

Sidhi Vinayak Temple located on the way to Murud-Janjira is one of the finest Ganpati temple in near Murud. The colourful temple, peaceful surroundings, the Bappa Ganpati welcomes all devotees.

The idgah is on top of a hill in the vicinity ... a great 360 deg panoramic view of the fort on one side, fields on the other awaits you. A good place for cycling or a drive!

During our visit of Murud Janjira, guide over there told about the descendant of Sidi Badshah staying in palace which is on Murud-Revdanda road. He also told many movies were shot there. It makes us inquisitive. On asking name of the movies, he told 'Virana', 'Purani Haveli', 'Kabrastan' and few more and we all started laughing as all were horror movies of Ramsay Brother we used to enjoy in childhood. But this information makes us curious about this place so on our way back, we found this place. This being private property no outsider is allowed. However seeing this palace from outside you immediately recognise 'the haveli' in those movies. Though entry is not allowed but we took our photos from outside the gate in backdrop of Haveli and made permanent memory of those movies

It is actually pronounced as Garambi Dam. Slightly off beat and different from Beach; very good Picnic spot. Excellent in post monsoon season. Other seasons are not bad. Surrounded by green trees. Very good picnic spot, though no food available there.
