Top Station

Reviewed By Varadharajanm5 - Bengaluru, India

Top Station is a highest point near Munnar. This place is the last sight seeing in this route....Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake and then Top Station. From the parking area you need to walk long to reach to the main entrance of the top station view area. Top station view point is actually a highest point where both kerala and tamilnadu border meets. Both the forest zone highest point meet in this place. You need to get the entrance ticket. You can visualize good photographic locations and natural scenic beauty until you reach the ticket counter. From the ticket counter entrance you need to walk down approximately 100 to 150 steps to reach another thrilling and exciting view point. That is the actual place where you can have 360 degree view of the valley. But it will be breathe taking exercise to reach that place. Definitely not to try for old age people. If you have having heart problems and breathing issues do not try to walk down. Because getting to top is much difficult, it is very steep while climbing back. There are also no proper fencing or hand grip / side rails provided to hold and climb the steps. Otherwise this is one of the place you should never miss and have some natural scenic photo shoots. Be alert while taking selfie also.
