What to do and see in Montserrat, Capital Federal District: The Best Lessons & Workshops

October 26, 2021 Vergie Nakamoto

The birthplace of the tango is, like the dance itself, captivating, seductive and bustling with excited energy. Atmospheric old neighborhoods are rife with romantic restaurants and thumping nightlife, and Buenos Aires' European heritage is evident in its architecture, boulevards and parks. Cafe Tortoni, the city's oldest bar, will transport you back to 1858, and the spectacular Teatro Colon impresses just as it did in 1908. Latin America's shopping capital offers the promise of premium retail therapy along its grand, wide boulevards.

Gala Tango

Reviewed By evelynhazzard - Toronto, Canada

Tango! We asked our travel advisor, Sandra (batravelguide.com) to book us a great tango experience & were delighted with Gala Tango! We were happy that transportation to & from our hotel was included! What fun we had! First our little group was taken upstairs where we had the most amazing tango lesson given by a professional dancer with infinite patience & a wonderful sense of humour. Not only did he explain each part carefully but he demonstrated with all the ladies in the class & made us feel very pleased with ourselves. Everyone actually managed a dance on the small stage as a culmination of a wonderful lesson. After that we went downstairs for a scrumptious dinner in an intimate setting, followed by an outstanding show. We were right beside the stage & were so impressed by the skill, beauty, & fun exhibited by fabulous performers in their many routines. It was as others on here have described the show, a truly excellent performance. Our Gala Tango evening was a highlight of our visit to a beautiful city.
