What to do and see in Montmartre, Ile-de-France: The Best Monuments & Statues

October 29, 2021 Natalie Tallman

Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

Great statue and brilliant story behind it. What would you do if you could walk through walls? Not that far from Sacre Coeur, then pretty walk back down into Paris centre.

From the square named after her and her statue therein, to her house, and final resting place in Montmartre Cemetery. A must see for all her fans. A bit of a walk (not very long) but expect to go up and down the famous steep streets of the area.
