Follow the river upstream from the beach to find more waterfalls for swimming. Playa Los Cedros, a small scenic beach flanked by a waterfall and large banyan tree near Cabuya, has a right-handed point break favored by experienced surfers when the south swells get going good. The beaches and tropical forests at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Preserve are protected as a national park. In this four-hour surf adventure you will experience amazing surf, enchanting locations, adventurous jungle trails(without carring the surf boards), breathtaking nature and exhilarating wildlife. Safety is our primary focus so we take surf to Playa Grande, a beach that it's located thirty minutes hike from Montezuma and is between two protected areas and wildlife refuges. With a long and big sandbar bottom, this is the perfect place to learn your first steps on surfing in a gentle and safe way. All surf equipment is included, and on the beach. The surf class is 2 hours and we do a break to recharge and get water & fruits (included in the price)

We booked a private surf lesson as a couple and everything from the planning to the lesson was phenomenal. Guillermo was super quick to answer and fix a date and time with us. We are complete beginners and by the end of the lesson we were both standing on our boards! Guillermo gives amazing advice, and is very clear and helpful to reach the next step. Additionally, he’s super calm and calms you down as well, helps breathing and focusing. When we did something well he celebrated us and we could hear his happy screams and it’s so motivating!!! I recommend this lesson 1000%! Thank you Guillermo!

Cabuya has one of the best intermediate surf spots in the country, this is a point break, this means the waves will break around the same area and has a channel to paddle out behind the waves. With long and perfect waves will give you the chance to practice the techniques of the intermediate level such as # 1 Paddle back out from the breaking waves using the turtle dive to pass waves. #2 Sit on the surfboard with control and manage to turn the board and prepare to catch the waves.#3Lie down with balance on the board and do long, deep paddings to catch the wave before it brakes. #4 Takeoff on the wave make the bottom turn and set up the surfboard on a line to ride the face of the wave.

Located 3km north of Santa Teresa this sandy bottom beach provides perfect and safe waves for all levels and a magical sunset to take some photos and share some cold drinks before we start the trip back with this particular stoke felling which produce surfing .

In these three classes, we will have the opportunity to work continuously and progressively in techniques and fiscal endurance to take your surfing to the next level. Playa Grande in Montezuma is the perfect place to improve beginner and intermediate level of surfing, the orientation inside the golf leave it protected from strong currents and waves from the open ocean and with a long sandy bar bottom produce long and gentle rides were you can improve a lot in every session.

Andy the owner is a great teacher. I have taken language classes at a university and Spanish lessons from other teachers. By far Andy is the best instructor I have ever had. He is patient with me, he is very encouraging, he is well organized, and he has a wonderful way of explaining the structure of the Spanish language. I took 3 weeks of intensive classes and my ability to communicate in Spanish improved greatly in that short a time. On a recent trip to Mexico City I was able to communicate surprisingly well with the locals. I am looking forward to continuing my Spanish lessons this coming winter when I visit Montezuma again.
