Minehead is a coastal town and civil parish in Somerset, England. It lies on the south bank of the Bristol Channel, 21 miles (34 km) north-west of the county town of Taunton, 12 miles (19 km) from the border with the county of Devon and in proximity of the Exmoor National Park. The parish of Minehead has a population of approximately 11,981 making it the most populous town in the West Somerset local government district, which in turn, is the worst area in the country for social mobility. This figure includes Alcombe and Woodcombe, suburban villages which have been subsumed into Minehead.

Minehead EYE

Minehead Eye Skatepark has a huge range of things to do for people of all ages, including adults who haven't grown up yet! The indoor skatepark is open to scooters, skateboards & BMX'S, all available to hire with helmets and pads too. In the front section of the building we have table tennis & table football open to anyone. Upstairs we have a Bouldering Cave where you can practice low level climbing without ropes for all ages. We also have a Cafe on the upper floor overlooking the skatepark that serves hot and cold drinks plus food and its open to everyone not just skaters! There is sofas for those that want to just relax. We also have Free WIFI & a pool table within the cafe. Kids over 10 can be left on their own with parents permission, allowing for some quality time for parents. On the upper floor we also have a rehearsal studio for all music lovers. During the year we put on various clubs and events at the EYE plus so much more so check our website or leaflets for current events!

South West Coast Path - Culver Cliff Woodland Walk

An invigorating 1.3 mile climb on the South West Coast Path through mixed woodland, rich in wildlife and with magnificent views out across the Bristol Channel. The return route drops gently downhill along a Victorian drive built by the Luttrells of Dunster Castle. There is an optional adventurous detour for keen geologists if the tide is low.

Beautiful views and wonderful countryside, there are dozens of footpaths that lead upto and around North Hill from Culvercilff. The going is a little steep in places but manageable by taking rest at the numerous benches.

very interesting considering minhead is not full old buildings nice piece of local history cuold done a bit aboutwhen horses and mules etc that were sent here duringWW1 before sent to france

We have visited Minehead regularly over the years for short breaks and always make a point of walking in Blenheim Gardens to see the lovely flower beds and trees . The gardens are a credit to the local council especially when resources are limited and also to the staff who obviously take great pride in their work and the resulting facility.
