Bob's Red Mill

Traveled down this way because my hubby wanted to go to sportsman's warehouse which was near by. We figured we get something to eat before we do some shopping but since we hadn't been this far east of Portland before, I had to check online to see what there was to eat. I didn't even know there was a Bob's Red Mill store, imagine how stoked I was to find out there was a restaurant!!! So of course we had to go here. Who doesn't love bobs red mill products?! I wasn't sure what I was more excited about, the restaurant or the store!! We decided to eat first and browse later. You order your breakfast at the counter and they give you a number and then your food is brought out to you. They do ask you if you will be sitting upstairs or downstairs so it's easier to find you. We decided to sit upstairs so we could check out the store from above. Our food came pretty quickly. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy which is pretty much his go to dish if it's on a menu. I ordered the waffle (you could either choose buttermilk or wheat free and after choosing buttermilk, I regretted my choice since it's not often you get to choose a wheat free waffle) with a side of 2 poached eggs and a side of bacon. I enjoyed my buttermilk waffles and eggs and bacon which was thick but on the crispy side, just perfect. Maple syrup was brought with the waffle but you can also get Marion berry sauce too which is what I asked for since it's not everyday you get to have some of that! We also decided to try an oatmeal bowl too, the northwest blueberry bowl. It was delicious. We chose almond milk with it and the almond milk came in a separate little cup but the oatmeal was so good by itself that we didn't even need to add the almond milk. Usually when I eat oatmeal, i just mix it with water so I was just fine with how the bowl came. It was so good, made you feel all warm inside! Breakfast was great and once we finished that, it was on to the shopping! I have seen bobs red mill products in our local stores in Hawaii but there is never a big variety. I have never seen half the products I saw here today! It was awesome to be able to buy all these things I am not able to get back home. Tons of gluten free and organic options too! We asked the check out girl and she said this one is the only one around so If you're around this area, definitely stop by here!
