A couple friends of ours went to the beach for the weekend to have fun and laughter and also to have a few wine tastings... part of our voyage was to Dog Fish Head Brewery.
What a great experience!
The tour of the plant, unless you are a beer enthusiast, can be a little overwhelming, but I enjoyed it and so did my wife.
As part of the tour, you receive four 3oz drinks for free! Two are of their choosing and two that you can pick from any one of their assorted flavors at the time of your visit. We enjoyed a nice lunch and some Hakki sack (which they have multiple areas to play including shuffleboard and horseshoes too )
What a great way to spend afternoon with friends. I highly recommend you take this tour if you’re in the area or if you’re at the beach and it’s raining it’s a great alternative.
If they have it when you go I highly recommend the Blood Orange and Pangaea brews!

Friendly and helpful staff at the office/visitors' center, and a very nice gift shop with a variety of conservation/preservation information and memorabilia. You can buy cold drinks, snack bars, park caps or just donate to the Park.
This is an outdoor attraction so bring lots of bug spray with DEET, sunscreen, and water. Stay for a walk or stay all day, but many say the cooler weather enables a longer visit.

A little out of the way farm that has several cottages and a picnic area; the fields are pretty even when not in bloom and the lavender products that are available are positively astounding. Great place to walk, picnic and shop.

Growing up in a farming community, we had access to homemade ice cream. Thick, rich, sweet and delicious.
Well that pretty much sums up Hopkins dairy. It's a treat any time we go.
One little drawback in the summer is the pungency that comes with having a dairy farm.
Close your car windows and "Forget About It". All I can say.

The Milton Theatre is a multi-faceted performing arts centre with located in Milton Delaware. On our stage you will find the best student, local, regional, and national talent. The historic Milton Theatre is set in the center of Milton, Delaware. Municipal parking right next door and plenty of on-street parking available. Wheelchair accessibility.
The milton theatre use to show excellent off Broadway plays, but do to poor attendance and lack of building up keep (water damage and possible mold) it has been down graded , in the past two years their have attempting to improve their situation.

We were drawn in off the highway by the display of lawn lighthouses out front, but we found so much more.
Sure they were selling sheds and lighthouse replicas, but there was also a country store, farm animals to feed up close, ice cream and so much more. Looks like a great place to stop and get out off the car for a few minutes diversion as well as a way to shop for fresh produce (albeit a little pricey) on the way to the shore resorts.

The Brimming Horn Meadery, a great new place in the Lewes/Milton area. I first heard about "The Brimming Horn Meadery" from Deb Griffin who writes the "Local Buzz". I am sure glad she passed this great information along. First, currently the Brimming Horn Meadery has limited hours so please plan for this. Hours are Friday and Saturday; Noon to 7 PM and Sunday, Noon to 4 PM. The Brimming Horn Meadery is easy to get to right on Lewes Georgetown Highway, right past Hopkins Farm Creamery. The Brimming Horn Meadery features a tasting/sampling area as well as a Scandinavian-style mead hall. Both meads and ciders on tap, served in bottles, growlers, and glasses. Mead is a unique drink. Some tastes more like wine some tastes more like beer. All very good. We tried the Brimming Horn Meadery on a Sunday afternoon and was a pleasure meeting the owner Jon Talkington and his business partner Robert Walker, Jr, both on-site and working hard. The Meadery was cool and inviting and we enjoyed tasting all 7 available products and even bought some available meads in bottles to take home. I highly recommend stopping by the Brimming Horn Meadery and tasting some great meads.

Yes, it's fairly wide open off the tee, but don't miss a fairway or you may not find the ball. I don't have an issue with that from a playing standpoint, but the issue becomes pace of play as folks search endlessly for balls only a foot off the fairway--over and over again. The fairways are well conditioned and the sand is fairly firm and reasonably consistent. Greens were a bit of a downside as they were bumpy and inconsistent and didn't roll true for the most part. It has a nice clubhouse/pro shop and is a public course. See full review at tips golf tips on the web. It's not overly long (6400 from the tips), but it can play long (#18 is 600+ yards) at a Par 71. Bottom line here is keep it in play off the tee; plan your approaches for the front part of the green, as the greens don't hold even highly spun balls well and take your best guess on putts. You probably need to hit them a little firmer than normal to get them to hold their line. Bottom line, it's a good challenge for all handicaps and is generally well-conditioned, but pace of play is a killer here and you probably won't make a ton of putts unless you play here consistently and get used to the greens.
