Visited end of January on a rainy Sunday. Their vines are young so they do use grapes from other VA growers. Chardonnay very good as are most of their other wines. They are pricey with a wine tasting costing $14! Wine members get free tasting. Wines are expensive too. They offer food plates and sit down tastings which is a refreshing change.

50 West Vineyards

Reviewed By Phantastic4u - Tysons Corner, Virginia

This winery looks nice (inside & outside) with many beautiful views!

The servers were nice and friendly. We enjoyed hanging out here and trying the wines.

Some wines were very good, and the some were very bland and average.

The one drawback was the tastings were a little pricey along with wines and snacks...compared to most places. If they lower there prices by a few dollars, then it would be just right...

Overall a worthwhile visit...and we curious to return again.

Chrysalis Vineyards

Reviewed By BnKSimmons

One of our favorite wineries in NoVa. They make the Norton wines very well, try the Estate Bottled, or Shitz and Giggels. Spacious and clean indoor area, even nicer outdoor area with tables and chairs in sun or shade. They have little pavilions good for parties also. Clean and sharp appearance all the way around.

Mount Defiance Cidery & Distillery

Reviewed By HappycuriousWanderer - Haymarket, Virginia

Most American ciders are too syrupy sweet. These small batch, hand crafted ciders are fantastic- full of flavor and not too sweet. Stopped for a tasting and today's offerings were farmhouse, volstead, and citrus coriander. They were all good, but the citrus was fantastic. Had a hint of crisp, sweet-tart apple undertones. We enjoyed, and plan to go again to try the distilled spirit offerings, which sounded intriguing. One of the spirits they make is an absinthe- the gentleman who served our tasting said that Mount defiance is one of only 8 or 9 spots in the US currently making it. Great little spot in downtown Middleburg- we will definitely return!

Cana Vineyards and Winery

Reviewed By Marty1357 - Baltimore County, Maryland

We just visited Cana this afternoon for a wine tasting. It is a beautiful relaxing setting. The winery needs to provide tasters with pitcher of water to rinse their glasses and oyster crackers between samples. Without these it seemed as if the wines were blending all together. My husband really liked the Norton wine and the rest of us liked the Rose.

The Boxwood Winery

Reviewed By DesireeCarey - Los Angeles, California

I have visited many wineries on the west coast in Cali and Oregon but I have to say this one is by far my favorite! The staff really knew the history of Boxwood and the process to make each kind of wine. Our tour guide was impeccable, the private tasting was one of the classiest presentations I have ever been to, and they also gave my service dog the royal treatment. Thank you Boxwood for an unforgettable afternoon!

A wonderful place for equestrian events with lovely grounds and good facilitties. Excellect viewing for point-to-point races and great horse show facilities. The stalls are well sized and the horses remain calm. Unloafing at the stables can become difficukt with large trailers and narrow spaces.

Fox Chase Farm

We do private events and are only open to the public once or twice a year.

Reviewed By amydolansky

If you have the opportunity to take a picnic lunch and spend the day at a horse show at Fox Chase Farm, I cannot recommend it enough. Relaxing, with fresh air, good food, a little wine, nice people and--of course--horses and pups. It's the complete package.
