Xecue Vinicola

Alberta and Jose Luis in 1999 began developing artisanal wine to taste at home, in the year 2005 they decided to make their first wine for sale, they wished they had the essence of sharing their profession and their journey through life. Jose Luis is in charge of the field, the operative part of the winery and make sure the vines give excellent results and to ensure that the parameters have been proposed as standard, while Alberta is the Winemaker of the winery, she is responsible for the management of winemaking processes and administration, both demonstrate their fellowship and giving in each of their bottles. Initially Jose Luis and Alberta chose the best plots and designed wines that would enter the market in 2006, the same year they began a new adventure: the construction of the winery, which has been opened since the summer of 2012 to the public for tasting and sales. In Xecue Winery our products are made with care, each wine has its own personality, range of wines are balanced by subtle feminine and masculine character sets, these particular traits are expressed on the label.

We were recommended a wine from Xecue at a restaurant the night before and loved it! We decided to visit the winery the next day and it is in a beautiful location. As we were having our wine the owner approached us and asked if we wanted to tour the winery! Awesome experience and excellent wines! Totally recommended when you come to Valle de Guadalupe.

I went to this winery as part of my shore excursion when sailing on the carnival imagination out of long beach. This one of the oldest wineries in this country and i learned tons of great facts and history like Al Capone being supplied liquor from here during prohibition. I personally did not like the wines but a lot of people took home multiple bottles.

This tour is widely recommended. In our case we were lucky to have Miguel Cruz as a sommelier and guide. Miguel is very knowledgeable about everything to do with the property and services. He is definitely a great asset for this lovely place. We tried 3 different wines, all of them were so nice that at the end of the tour we bought 2 bottles to go, which price was very reasonable. Also I want to mention that the tapas we got while testing the wines were delicious. I will definitely visit again.
