The Glass Forge

This is a fully operational glass blowing shop, where you can get up close and even try your hand at blowing molten 2000 degree glass. The artisans are usually working producing all kinds of glass art from vases, bowls to paperweights and sculptural pieces. Come browse the gift shop, or just stay and visit. It does get warm so can be very nice in the winter!

I have seen glass blowers at work years ago, but I never before saw glass forgers. These master craftsmen/artists are just incredible. I took my four grandchildren, and we got to get up close and talk to the artist as he worked. Then he invited us to come into his work area to "see the dragon," inside the 2,000 degree F. furnace. The artist explained everything he was doing. It was just an awesome experience. I look forward to taking my husband with me on my next trip to The Glass Forge. This is a MUST SEE stop in Grants Pass.

Had a fun time with friends touring the beautiful southern Oregon wine country with Jim and Glen on Wine Hopper. Jim was the host, Glen the driver, and they were both engaging, entertaining, and informative. The transport was great, the food they provided was well chosen, and the vineyards outstanding. It was a fun time and I highly recommend Wine Hopper

ROW Adventures - Rogue River Rafting

Reviewed By DNKass - Roslyn, New York

We had wanted to do white water rfting trip on the Rogue River. The fact we stayed in lodges along the Rogue River was a plus and I enjoyed the fact tht you could choose to hike or raft each morning and nostly each afternoon. The guides were great! I enjoyed seeing the profusion of wildflowers during hikes. Most of our group was from Oregon and California. We were the only ones from the east coast. We were also the oldest. We did find it a bit daunting to constantly each night repack our wet and dry bags. . The food overall was good and Row does a good job of packing lunch feasts. The dinners are proviifed by each of the lodges . The first Blackbar made fried chicken which for me the white meat was dry. MY favorite lodges wwere Marial and Paradise INN. I loved getting wet in the paddle boat going thru the rapids.
