What to do and see in Menorca, Balearic Islands: The Best Horseback Riding Tours

July 12, 2021 Leida Jutras

As the first place in Spain to see the sunrise, Minorca is like the country’s ambassador to the morning. Beaches here are beautiful and, surprisingly, relatively empty. The jewel-colored water is a magnet for waterskiers, windsurfers and sailors. Playa De Binigaus beach is perfect for families, while Cala Mitjana is an idyllic spot for romance. Head to the town of Alaoir to nibble on some fresh local cheese or turn back time in the charming fishing village of Fornells.

We’ve just got back from a fabulous one and a half hour ride with Menorca a Caballo.. What can I say other than it was awesome, and well worth the 40€ each, taking us through beautiful woodland and down to the idyllic secluded beach of Cala Mitjana on the most beautiful, patient, and chilled out horses you could ever wish to ride. The owners and their staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and even arranged a taxi to return us to our hotel Artiem Audax at Cala Galdana (separate review coming not to be missed) I called the owner to check availability a couple of days before, but the call went to answer phone, but I didn’t leave a message, as I intended to try again later. To my surprise I then received a WhatsApp message (in Spanish of course) asking if they could be of assistance having missed my call. We then carried on messaging each other via WhatsApp in Spanish! using google translate, which was great and very easy to do. What a fabulous place and fabulous people, if you’re looking for something to occupy a few hours of your day! We went on the 12:00pm - 1:30pm trip, and whether you can ride a horse, or have never even been on one before, and they can accommodate children, then I would not hesitate to recommend that you try Menorca a Caballo horse riding. Muchas Gracias por todo..
