The Rubber Chicken

The Rubber Chicken is Melbourne's comedy hub. Boasting a public bar and stage that attracts visiting comedians who spontaneously try out their new material, plus a paid upstairs showroom with featured world-class stand-up comedians, and an Asian-fusion restaurant, there's always comedy at The Rubber Chicken.

The Comics Lounge

We had dinner here on Saturday night and there were a number of options - burgers, pizza, main meals, snacks. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Drink prices not bad either. After dinner we were treated to a fantastic show with three comedians. The jokes were very funny and we all had sore bellies from laughing so much. Was well worth the cost @ $30 for show and around $35 for dinner. Will be coming back again when in Melbourne. They have different comedians on each night and some have been Akmal, Dave Hughes, Dave Thornton, Jimoin, to name a few.

Great comedians. The MC was a fantastic host for the evening, he was actually funnier than a couple of the comics. The food could be better for next time.
