Passeig de Gracia is a street with mostly designer shops and restaurants.There are plenty of beautiful architecture all around.A bunch of them were designed by Gaudi. The most advertised of Gaudi’s work along the Passeig de Gracia is being renovated and the facade is all covered up.Don’t be too disappointed because the street is full of other attractions.The interesting lamp posts are also the works of Gaudi.There are plenty of entrances to the train station along this street.If a walk along La Rambla is too chaotic for you , you may find a walk along Passeig de Gracia a better option .

Through the imposing modern entrance we strolled around for about an hour, admiring the wonderful monuments to the departed. That of Heinrich Schliemann, one of the most famous ever archaeologists, is aptly in the form of a Greek Temple. We recognised many of the names with thoughtful memorials dedicated. Melina Mercouri's reflects the adoration she remains held in by her country. George Averoff, renowned philanthropist and businessman, has one of the most impressive dedications. Portrayed seated atop a multi-level creation in marble, it is a superb monument to such a life. Three Churches are here. At the entrance is the one of Saint Theodore, the largest. Greek Orthodox, it has a lovely façade in pale light azure hues.

Walking, in Rome, through via del corso and then via condotti, you could arrive in the wonderful Piazza di Spagna and Trinità dei Monti.

Nice area for walks and to visit Janiculum Hill, a fifteen-minute walk up Via Garibaldi from the place di Sant' Egidio to the summit of the Janiculum Hill with the most beautiful view of the center of Rome; the place is dedicated to Garibaldi's defence of the Roman Republic of 1849; to admire the equestrian monument of Garibaldi.
