December 25, 2017 Vivienne Hutton

Marsalforn (Marsa el-Forn), also written as M'Forn for shortcut purposes, is a village on the north coast of Gozo, the second largest island of the Maltese archipelago. The village lies between the hill-top towns of Xagħra and Żebbuġ. The village forms part of the locality of Żebbuġ. Marsalforn is one of the most popular tourist resorts on Gozo. It is well served with hotels, guest houses, restaurants, bars, and beaches. There is only a one small sandy beach in Marsalforn, however, along the rocky coastline there are a number of interesting swimming spots. Also, there's only one police station in Marsalforn.

Welcome to Gozo's most caring dive centre. We care...about showing you the best diving, about the marine environment, about quality and safety, about customer service and about having fun.

My wife and I have our open water divers certifications and were keen for our children Joseph,13 and Thomas 14 to learn so we can all dive together. We chose Bubbles dive centre because safety and the marine environment seemed to be at the core of the ‘experience’ which they describe on their web site. Our expectations were met and exceeded by the professionalism of the preparation, teaching, coaching and the certification processes which we went through each day. We felt confident at all times that our boys were safe in the hands of our instructor , Dino and David, the Dive Director, joined us for our family dive, when the boys were qualified, and helped us refresh our memories of planning to and diving safely. A wonderful experience, thank you the team at Bubbles for their professionalism - can’t wait to be back next year ! Richard ,Geri, Thomas and Joseph

Before going I looked around at quite a few centres but this was both open and reasonably priced.
We turned up and Jon and Reggie quickly helped us with our kits.
We did a couple of dives with Reggie who made the dives both safe and fun. He was very knowledgeable about the dives sites.
The best dive was the Inland Sea(San Lawrenz).
Looking to go back again to Gozo and will defiantly be going back to Scuba Kings.

Dived here with some friends, all of which are experienced divers, we walked in off of the street after some disappointing sevice from another dive operater and the immediate differance in customer service couldn't have been greater, we recieved friendly and helpful service from the off, we were able to (within reason ) chose our dives for which Heike and her staff couldn't have been of more assistance.
We were fortunate enough ( not overstated ) to dive with Micha who is a hugely experience diver in all aspects of the industry and both a Fountain of information and a pleasure to dive with.
We not only had some fantastic diving experiences but also benifited from his vast experience, being even more invaluable to us as experienced divers, than if we had been novices.
It's a credit to the man that in a very short periof of time we were diving like a group of dive buddies rather than him being our guide and indeed we leave Gozo absolutely considering him to be a friend.
Heike will if required also book your accommodation and vehicle hire for you and to within your budget, you couldn't be in better hands.
It's only this divers opinion but I wouldn't dive Gozo with anyone else and wether your an experienced or novice diver I strongly recommend that you don't either.
Book through Nautic Team and you won't be disappointed ! I'm only sorry I'm not going with you.

Xwejni Bay, is reached by a long, steep, winding and torturous decent and it is a pleasure to reach level ground. The bay is quite craggy but has some unusual and brightly coloured rock formations, caused by the sea eroding the limestone rock.
If you travel further round and bear left at the no through road sign, there is a Promenade next to the public toilets, which gives you a great view of the bay and the salt pans. If you leave there and head for Ramla, you can see a mini Christ the Redeemer on the hill to the right.

Char Qawqla Bay is a very picturesque bay in one of the busiest coastal spots on the island. It is lovely in all seasons, ranging from the tranquil seas and blue skies of summer through to the roaring waves splashing on to the Promenade in the gales of autumn and cold blasts of winter winds. For most of the year it is great for swimming but be careful of currents. It is backed by Promenade with a multitude of bars and restaurants and a lot of local life.

Brilliant trip, I a rented cruiser of Xlendi Cruises, a family run business, and with my family six people in total, we made a tour around Gozo and visited the bays of Comino, a small island between Malta and Gozo. The service was very good. The company has a small office at Marsalforn bay, they organise day trips, rent out kanoos (from the jetty at Xlendi Bay) and are very helpful in making your day to something to remember.

On 2 Wheels Bike Rentals

Reviewed By moot - Tenbury Wells, United Kingdom

The hotel in Xlendi recommended on2wheels who also deliver. The hotel called and reserved the bikes for us. €12.50 per day or €8 for two or more days, plus €1 per day helmet hire. Lock included. The bikes were delivered promptly and were in very good condition mechanically- just the spring loaded rack didn't work on one of the two bikes we hired. Overnight we just locked them up to the railings outside the hotel. Gozo is VERY hilly and the roads aren't in the best condition but these bikes stood up to the test.
