Mtarazi Falls

Reviewed By Fortune_Madhuku - Harare Province, Zimbabwe

Spectacular and awesome views of the Mtarazi falls. The road to the falls is not that good, about 19km from the tarred road along a bumpy dusty road, but the falls are worth a visit. Although charges for skyline and skywalk are a bit high, it's worth the sacrifice. Like most attraction sites in Nyanga, you need to bring your picnic basket as there are no places selling food anywhere near. The place is so nice that you need to dedicate the whole afternoon. One thing to note is that the Far and Wide office closes at 4pm so it is a good idea to start with skyline and skywalk, then finish with the walk to the view site for the falls - there you can watch the falls until late, as long as there is daylight. However, as the road to the falls is not the best you can drive along, it is wise to budget time so that you drive back to the tarred road while there is still daylight.

Vumba Botanical Gardens and Reserve

Magnificent garden and a great place for family picnic and photo shoot. Managed by National Parks department, which charges a reasonable entrance fee. The garden is well maintained and always clean, giving it the glorious and amazing look.
