Martin de Candre

Martin de Candre makes handcrafted soaps since 1974, working with a traditional process. Rosine Dauge, creator of this business, learnt for years how to make traditional soap from the prime ingredients, what we call "saponifying". She then passed on her knowledge to her daughter, Hélène, who carried on preserving this rare technique and process. Martin de Candre soaps are handcrafted on site, with all-natural ingredients. On the production site, we welcome you in our shop where you can discover our products and see a slideshow presenting our soap-making process. On site, you can also visit a small museum about the history of soap ads. Important : For safety and regulations reasons, our workshop is not open to visitors.
