Had a great day of off-piste guiding with Youri. All of the avalanche equipment was included in the price. Youri was a fantastic guide and took us on some sick off-piste trails including couloirs and tree skiing. Would highly recommend and will use again if I come back to la plagne.

We went both white-water rafting and hydro-speeding on two separate days. The rafting was as expected, although there were some wonderful views which you can only see on the water. Not too alarming, but plenty of thrills for all. Hydro-speeding is much more challenging; you need to be a fairly strong swimmer if you lose hold of your board. Make sure you don't take a red one, but a yellow one. This is because you can link your two hands together with the yellow one and this means you can hold on much more easily. I suffered because of having the one which is harder to grip!

I have over the past 4 years booked both private lessons and group lessons with this company for my family. This year I booked my granddaughter into a group lesson - monday to friday 10am - 12.30pm which was confirmed and payment taken.
On the Sunday evening before I received a call from someone called Dominic who told me in blunt and confrontational manner that they only had one other child booked into the group so I either had to accept a lesson that would only run for 90 minuets not the 2 1/2 hours I paid for in good faith or they would refund the money to me, tough luck, take it or leave it. He also claimed that this was clear in their t&c's (I checked and this is false, there is no mention of any minimum numbers anywhere on the website or on any of the confirmation paperwork)
I was understandably not happy with this however Dominic did state that if anyone else booked then they would review it, though it was clear he knew we had no real alternatives.
It then transpired on the Monday (and for the whole week) there were in fact 3 children in the group (the same number they ran the full course with the year before I might add) and when the other family queried this to Dominic he told them they would increase the lesson time by 30 mins but that never happened and despite his assurances to me and a further 2 messages left by me asking him to call me neither him or anyone else at Evolution could be bothered to do me the courtesy of returning my calls.
I emailed Evolution expressing my dissatisfaction when I returned and after a week they did reply but basically to repeat the same illogical excuses and to state they were committed to excellent customer service!
In my business, if I don't sell enough units and consequently run at a loss that's my problem not my customers.
The real shame here is that their Instructors are very good and represent Evolution in a professional manner but this means nothing when the the management seem to think it's ok to treat long standing customers with contempt.

Easy hike with tons of lovely scenery. When you arrive early in the morning, you will see marmots everywhere. The lake is lovely to look at. I also spotted a vulture circeling not to far away from my position (huge bird). The trail is perfectly marked and hard to miss.

The reservation desk is always available, no specific opening hours.
the course was fine, you can have an english speaking instructor.
the Parapente jump with Philippe was simply hilarious. Will do it once again for sure
