For those spending some days in Lima this is an exceptional option.
Just 130km away you will find full nature and outdoor activities for very reasonable prices.
Book a tour, or go by yourself to Cañete, easy to reach.
Rafting for less than USD8, good wines and country side food!!
I've been living in Lima for more than one year and I really recommend this short trip.

Maybe it is because we have been in so many places that this just didnt seem exciting at all. At least not nowdays, there is a group of people trying to get you on some really ill looking horses and it just doesnt make it. I do recommend river rafting or canopy instead.

We stayed in the Hotel/Restaurant El Molino and the main square, the Plaza of Lunahuana is only a five minute walk from there. It is very quiet, and peaceful . You can relax on the benches in the square.. There is a small handicraft fair there, and the church is worth visiting too.

I have done rafting and kayaking trips in several countries, and Warko is as professional and safe as any outfitter that I have used. Camilo is an excellent and very knowledgeable guide, and the safety practices that they use are among the best that I have experienced. Camilo will also customize a trip to everyone's experience level. I will be honest, the first time traveling to Lunahuana, in the middle of the desert, I was not expecting much, but Camilo and Warko greatly exceeded my expectations. I try to take a trip there each time I visit Peru.
