How totally awesomely cool is it to see corn ground to meal through the workings of a water wheel? You get just that, and a lot more, at the Aldie Mill. The entire operations is exceptionally well preserved, and the mill is in full working order, right down to running the internal grain elevators. The staff is highly knowledgeable and very outgoing; they even stayed over a little later as we showed up right before closing time. They explained everything in full details, and were happy to take all of my super-nerd questions about the workings of the mill. There's even a resident snake, and apparently a few snake-babies, that come out to sun themselves on the millrace rocks, although we didn't get to see them on our visit. Parking is ample, and even a little shaded. There is no cost for admission, but they are happy to receive a donation to help keep this outstanding attraction preserved and open.

We specialize in small lot and experimental craft wines grown in the Middleburg American Viticultural Area. Reservation required, all visitors must be 21 and older. We appreciate your understanding. We provide an adult atmosphere providing intimate and educational tastings. Vineyard and production tours are based on seasonal availability. At Faith like a Mustard Seed Farm, we raise and sell pastured heritage pork and GMO-free eggs in a beautiful 1850's era setting overlooking the Potomac River valley and Catoctin Mountain. We are comfortably nestled in Blue Ridge Mountains 1 mile outside of the village of Bluemont. From plow to pint, our focus is small batch hand crafted beer from fresh ingredients grown on our family farm, Great Country Farms. The Brewery is a natural " fermentation" extension to our 400 acre farm. The Zurschmeide family has been farming in Loudoun County for over 40 years. Our name, "Dirt Farm" pays homage to our farming heritage that spans three generations. We are grateful to work and play surrounded by our own family and many friends. We welcome you to bring yours & slow down a bit the Country. It is an exciting time in the Virginia Craft Beer Industry. We have only scratched the surface with farming and beer.

We've been to Bluemont Winery a few times already, and today we decided to go for the brewery beside it - what a great surprise! The ambiance was super nice, the view amazing as expected, and the beer was great. Totally worth the ride!
