Lago Maihue

Reviewed By collegepathss - California, United States

We were lucky enough to be at Lake Maihue on a very warm sunny day with expansive views, peaks of the Andes, & glorious beaches. Swimming was a delight. The lake is set among high verdant cliffs with wildflowers everywhere. The drive from Fultrono is stunning and Maihue is less developed than Ranco. Not a lot of services, and parking is tough just keep moving forward and you will find a quieter spot or parking for under $2. We were limited with time and had to return to Futrono, but this is easily an all day endeavor if you have the time. The water is perfect for swimming and the mountains soaring close to the lake make it postcard pretty any time of year. We will definitely return!
