What to do and see in Los Cristianos, Canary Islands: The Best Tours

May 26, 2021 Trinity Boughner

Los Cristianos was a humble fishing village before it became known as a convalescent resort for Swedes. Now it’s a playground for beachgoers from all over Europe, thanks to sunny weather and plentiful hotel options. At night, you’ll find a lively bar scene.

I did several hikes with Andy, e.g. Anaga (two different beautiful hikes), Masca from above and a few others. They were all absolutely amazing. The views I enjoyed, the nature I experienced and all the knowledge Andy has about Tenerife and especially the plants and birds typical for the region made my experience perfect. He knows the most beautiful paths that I would have never found or hiked without him and I would have missed the most beautiful spots on Tenerife.

One of the most attractive and unforgettable activities you can do, the route departs from Los Cristianos beach located in an emblematic fishing village in the south of the island of Tenerife, we take the course towards the cliffs of Guaza, protected nature reserve, enjoying the scenery , the cliffs and its enormous biodiversity. The navigation, of great beauty, is done between the great and spectacular cliffs of the marine reserve of Guaza.  Arrived in the middle of the tour we will make a stop to rest, snorkel and try to see some of the species that inhabit this strip such as turtles.  After the bath we will continue the tour, and take the opportunity to take a photo with the cliffs or the amazing cave of the palm grove. It is one of the best excursions you can take in Tenerife, with real professionals

What an amazing experience, can not recommend it enough, definitely the highlight of our holiday! The guide Franco was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, professional and genuinely a very nice person. We managed to see lots if dolphins, jumping around in close proximity, snorkelled to spot turtles and fish. Such a lovely time we’ve had, it’s just a perfect trip for anyone - couples, groups of friends, single tourists, families with kids over 5, super highly recommended!

Went on a dolphin & turtle kayak and have to say that the guides know their stuff! What i especially liked is their attention to the animals as well, not going straight to them like hunters but letting the animals come to us. We saw amazing dolphin jumps out of the water, meters away from our kayak. There were at least 6+ if not more of them, swimming joyously around us. Loved this 2-3 h experience and the guide was super flexible in letting us do what we wanted, rather than sticking strictly to the plan. Great experience. Very good value, i think we paid <40eur each
