Iglesia de San Bartolome

I felt genuinely welcomed to visit and admire this old church (for free). In the evening it was beautifully lit inside and there was some spiritual music on. It enhanced the experience and let me appreciate its unique character. Some other churches don't go to so much effort even though they have a little lot more to present.

Calle del Laurel

Went on a Pintxos tour. Wonderful food and very good wines. The tiny bars are standing only except for a few stools. Very crowded but this adds to the experience. You have a beer or glass of wine, 1 or 2 pintxos (tapas) and then onto the next bar which will serve a very different sort of pintxos. They all speciallize. Great experience and lots of fun.

Calle San Juan

Narrow street near Paseo de Espolón is full of cafes where you can sample pintxos and have a glass of good Rioja tinto. Calle San Juan was very bright and festive during the Fiesta de San Matteo - we were lucky to be in Logroño on that day.
