What a marvelous carousel! Two workers were very talkative and friendly (for 3 of the 5 rides we took we were the only people there). The carousel itself, a 1900 Gustav Dentzel, is amazing. It’s one of only three Dentzels that doesn’t go up and down, just in circles. It has the catch-the-bronze-ring game instead. The horses are beautifully carved and painted, many made in the 1890’s. Our favorites were the two Indian ponies, the giraffes and the tiger. The people here have done an excellent job of restoring it and keeping it in good condition. They even have a binder with many articles giving detailed information on the carousel and its makers. The carousel had also been carefully prepared for Covid, and the workers wore their masks the whole time.

I primarily use France Park for scuba diving, which if that is your thing then you are in luck! France Park has excellent scuba diving facilities from many “wrecks” to a variety of other settings and obstacles that challenge scuba divers of all levels. It is a safe environment for new divers to hone their skills, and has new and exciting areas to explore for more seasoned divers. Highly recommend for a great day if diving!

We are a unique clothing boutique, home decor, gift shop! We also carry all-natural health food supplements, essential oils and many other wellness items. In the back of our shop is a chiropractor and bio-meridian testing technician.
