Neighboring provinces are (from east clockwise) Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Nongbua Lamphu, Khon Kaen, Phetchabun, Phitsanulok. In the north it borders Xaignabouli and Vientiane Province of Laos.

Bumpy ride whole route from Loei but better from Rong Kla side which I took from 5 years ago. However, there is worth to visit when full bloom of cherry blossom.

Located by the mountain and rice farm, our brand new live museum collects local art, craft, and traditional way of life. With the collaboration of communities, there are shops and stalls that sell local fruit, dessert and food. Traditional Thai dancing and Phi Ta Khon Show will be held every weekends.
