This is an excellent place to visit....I was not expecting this kind of place. This is the train station where people where sent to the different camps throughout Poland. You will see the trains they used for this and many other information on how the city and ghettos were back then.
It was a bit hard to find but got in tram number 6 (until the last stop) to get to the Jewish muzeum and then from there you can easily walk here. Entrance is free and all information is in Polish and English which was refreshing.
This is a must while in Lodz

An attraction for tourists, a hangout for Łodz residents, heaven for gourmets and renowned brand lovers, a place full of life and positive energy - Manufaktura has very quickly become the city’s flagship, as recognisable as Piotrkowska Street. Today it is hard to picture Łodz without Manufaktura. With no beach in the summer, no kermis and ice rink in the winter, no Concerts in the market square or tasty evenings in local restaurants. Manufaktura means: museums, cinema, theatre, a quarter of a thousand boutiques and stores, Playgrounds for the youngest, fitness club, a few dozens restaurants and cafes. But its centre is the over 3 ha large Łodz Women Textile Workers Market Square, which serves as a friendly public space. Here cultural and entertainment events are organised, attracting both residents and tourists. Here the Europe’s longest Fountain illuminates the darkness with colours and envelops superbly designed recreational areas in its murmur.

A stunning reconstruction/rejuvenation of the old Poltex factory site into a massive shopping/dining/entertainment venue that Lodz should be proud of. A great place to just see, let alone spend some cash.
The museum, on the second floor gives a good history of the former factory site including many fascinating videos to watch.

An outstanding marker of the former grand Jewish life in Lodz and of the gone golden days of the city. The Nazis have not been able to erase the cemetery despite their actions to try to erase the local Jewish life. Don't miss it !

Really interesting experience. This is the best sencence to describe a walk on this street. Especially when there is the Depeche Mode concert in Lodz and many extraordinary fans make the same walk.
Many beautiful buildings, place where you can sit with Julian Tuwim, many great Polish people that have their places here. And a teddy bear :] Also very important person.
You can see a lot of guys that have already drink too much but as some people say this is also a part of this street.

This covers a huge area. You really need to enjoy walking or maybe hire a taxi to take you round. Some of the buildings have been restored to an incredibly high standard but a lot more look like ruins. I look forward to returning in a couple of years to see the progress. If you have an interest in the history of Lodz and / or industrial architecture then it's worth a look.

What a beautiful place. Had a very relaxing afternoon here. Enjoyed the house and its contents. Particularly enjoyed the garden and the tea room. Home of a former Lodz Textile Baron, it's big but not huge. We really got the feeling of what it would be like to live there in the olden days. Whole premises immaculately clean and well kept. Highly Recommended.

Lodz was the main centre for the manufacture of textiles in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Massive fortunes were made and the 'textile barons' lived a life of luxury in large 'palaces'.
The White Factory, erected in the early eighteen thirties is an example of magnificent industrial architecture. The building now houses the Central Museum. Downstairs is an amazing array of early weaving machines. There are three levels each filled with very interesting exhibits.
There are a number of buildings external to the main museum showing the architecture of a typical street adjoining the factories including a church.
A new exhibition was particularly evocative named 'In Mrs Goldberg's Kitchen'. This is a multimedia exhibition about the Jewish Quarter in pre-WWII Lodz. Portrayed is a Polish city with a distinctive flavour - a melting pot of diverse populations.
A must for any visit to Lodz

Our main goal is to provide stunning shows about stars and cosmos, but we can also offer something for the admirers of Darwin's theory of natural selection. Shows take about 45-55 minutes each. If it features a fulldome projection of a movie (e.g. "The Black Holes"), it is concurrently available with alternative individual audio in English via wireless headphones. However, we do not provide live simultaneous translation of presenter's speeches - except special commercial shows. Additionally you can sit and eat marvelous ice-cream and drink a perfect coffee. :-)

Visited Planetarium last week. Watched ''Two Glasses" movie. Really interesting visit and event. Highly recommended for all families.

I can divide this review of the park into the natural area and the buildings within
Let's start with the buildings (monuments within) -- not worth it; pretty bad actually. These are imitations of classical stuff and they fail pretty badly in comparison.
The nature is lovely. Beautiful trees, ponds and flowers. Worth seeing. If you go here I'd suggest just wandering around and looking at the layout of greenery
There are toi-toi port-a-loos (toilets) about 5 minutes walk from the entrance, to the left
Overall, nice, but about the same as Park Łazienki in Warsaw, so not really worth a special visit just for this in my humble opinion
The fee is 12 zł/adult with children under 7 getting in for free
